X-Raided (Nefarious) - Speak of the Devil
Reviewed By: Blutarski
- X-Raided back although the CD is not under his name. This track starts it off well. It has a nice beat and some coo
little background effects. Raided spits some hard lyrics on the first two verses and then Hanifah comes with a weak
verse. It's a decent track overall, but there are much better ones on the album.
- This beat and background effects are tight. Raided spits some lyrics about being in prison and then about being in
solitary confinement. The beat gets your head moving on this one and Raided comes very hard on the mic. I'm feeling
the lyrics he spits. Just some hard nosed lyrics from one of the best rappers of all time.
- The quality on this track is very poor. Brotha Lynch has the first verse and comes hard. The pace is slow on this one
and doesn't really get your head into it much. Cocaine has a decent verse and spits some nice little lyrics. Raided only
flows on the hook. It's not a very good track overall, I think it's because the production isn't that good here.
- The production on this one is much better than the previous track. The beat gets your head into it and Raided comes
hard on the mic. Kronic is on the hook and has the second verse. I'm feeling this track to the fullest. Everything fits
together better and I'm feeling the flows a lot more.
- Raided and Dott Dog flow about loving a ho instead of a bitch. The beat gets your head into it and the production is
clean. Dott Dog comes clean on this one too. I'm feeling Raided's flow and everything works well on this track. It has
a slower pace, but it fits in perfectly. I'm feeling it.
- Raided flows about his problems with the judicial system. The beat is alright, and there are some nice background
effects to this one. Raided comes clean on the mic, but I think a better beat would have suited this track more. It's still
a good track, but there are much better tracks on this album.
- A similar beat to track two. The background effects are exactly the same, but the beat is a little different. Raided starts
it off with a tight verse. He flows about how some rappers spit lyrics about being a gangsta and a killer, but they are
nothing but studio gangstas. T-Macc comes next, but sounds like shit to me. I'm not feeling his verse at all. Mr. Doctor
has the last verse and sounds a lot better than T-Macc. This is just a tight track overall. One of my favorites on the
album.
- Raided flows about all the jealous people in Sacramento. He comes hard on the mic on this one as he spits to a tight
ass beat. The beat gets your head moving and I'm feeling the background effects. Raided spits some original lyrics on
this one, even though he's been in prison for so long. Just a tight track all around.
- I really like the remix of this on "Vengeance is Mine," but I still like this track. I'm not really feeling the beat too much,
but Raided comes with more of his hard lyrics. He flows about being a young hellraizer in life. The production isn't that
great, but he more than makes up for it with his flows. I'm feeling it, although not as much as the remix.
- I'm not really feeling the production on this track too much, but I'm feeling the flows. The beat doens't come off tight to
me, but Raided and C-Bo come hard on this one. Two rappers who have some hard nosed lyrics and they work well
together on this one. I'm feeling the lyrics, not the production.
- The hook on this track is the best. The beat is alright and gets your head into it. I'm not really feeling the production
too much, but I do like the beat. X-Raided comes hard on the mic and spits some tight lyrics. The track cuts off at the
end. A good track overall.
- The beat is tight on this one and gets your head into it. Riaded flows about his 9 and making a few killings. He comes
alright on the mic, but I'm not really feeling the flows too much. He has come much harder on other tracks. I still like
this track though. I'm feeling it.
- The quality on this track is very poor. The beat isn't that great, but Raided's flow does fit in well with it. I like his lyrics
and they sounds different than most of the other lyrics on this album. It's a decent track overall.
- The title track has a good pace and beat to it. He flows about why his name is Nefarious. The beat is alright and I like
the background effects on this one. It's a good track to end the album with, although it might have been better to start
the album off with this track.
Overall this is a solid album. Sure the quality is not good, but it's hard to make a clean sounding album from prison. The
production is alright, much better than some X-Raided tracks. He comes hard as always on this album and I like the
people who are featured. I'm feeling this album. If you're a Raided fan than this is a must get.
