X-Raided & Kingpen - City of Kings
Reviewed By: Blutarski
- This is just the intro. It has a dark type of beat to it. Kingpen and X-Raided talk about the album. That's it.
- A decent beat on this track, but really nothing special. X and Kingpen come tight on the mic, but it's not even close
to being the best track on the album. It's a decent track overall.
- It has the beat from Dr. Dre's 2001 track called "Let's Get High." X comes hard on this track. I'm feeling his flow.
Kingpen comes with those Killa Tay style flows with the little screetch. It's a good track overall. The beat is old, but
it works well with this track.
- I like the intruments on this track. The beat is fast paced and X starts it off with a tight ass verse. Kingpen comes next
then X again and Luni finishes the track off with a good verse. The production is sweet and I'm feeling all the flows. A
tight track from start to finish.
- This is the same track off of "Sac Kingz," but the background effects are slightly different. I liked the OG better, but
this one is still good. Both X and Kingpen come tight on this one. Only bad thing is it's a recycled track.
- This track has a slower pace to it. It has some typical Hollis production with the background bell effects. I don't really
like the slow pace to this track. The flows fit in well, but the pace throws me off.
- The beat really gets you moving on this one. The piano work is sweet. Kingpen starts it off with a tight verse. X
comes with some tight flows of his own. This has the same type of lyrics as "Macraframa." It's a tight track overall.
- The tracklisting on the album doesn't list this interlude and that's why it's all fucked up. X and Kingpen just talk. That's
all there is to it.
- I'm not really feeling Kingpen's flow on this one. X still comes clean, but Kingpen is a let down on this one. Robert Jr.
has a coo verse too. The beat is alright, but nothing special. A decent track overall.
- This track is also from "Sac Kingz." This is the OG though and there is no remix to it. It's a tight ass track and I'm
feeling it to the fullest, but it's a recycled track. Still don't want to miss it though cause it's sicc!!
- The hook is the best part to this track. Both X and Kingpen flow about the girls they've been with. The beat is alright,
but I like the background effects to this one. The track has a slower pace to it, but I'm feeling it. A good track.
- C-Lim disses Hollow Tip & Mic-C on this one. I've never really been a C-Lim fan, but he comes hard on this track.
X and Kingpen also come with some tight lyrics. This is one of my favorite tracks on the album. The background
effects are slick too.
- The beat is tight on this one. I like the production that goes along with it also. C-Lim disses Brotha Lynch and a couple
other Siccmade artists. I'm lost about why he would diss them on a X-Raided album, but whatever. It makes for a
good track, although C-Lim's verse doesn't fit in well with the other verses. T-Nutty is also on this track, although it
lists him on the next track.
- My favorite track on the album. The beat is tight and the production is perfect. It says that T-Nutty and C-Lim are on
this track, but neither of them are. The track cuts off at the end though, so they might have been. It's still a sicc ass
track without them, but I don't like how it cuts off.
- The same as track one except they talk about some upcoming albums.
- The first bonus track is "Game Official" from "And He Shall Appear." It has a tight ass beat to it and I'm feeling the
production to it. They rep Brotha Lynch on this one. A track givin Lynch props, but then another track before that
dissed him, I'm confused??? In any case it's a coo track overall, but it's still recycled.
- The second bonus track is "Witta Mask On Pt.2" from "And He Shall Appear." It'll never be as good as the original
Witta Mask On, but it's still a clean track. The production is sweet and I'm feeling X's flow. Recycled material
though.
- The third bonus track is "Meetcha Maker" from "And He Shall Appear." Again it's recycled material. Can't say
anything bad about this one though. It's a tight track from start to finish. X comes real hard on this one. It's a good way
to end the album, even if it's a reused track.
Overall this is a tight album from start to finish. The beats aren't as good as some of the older X-Raided albums, but they
still knocc. I like the features he picked and him and Kingpen work well together. There is only 5 recycled tracks, so
there is plenty of new tracks to slump. If you're an X-Raided fan then you need to get this one, and if you don't listen to
X-Raided you need to start. Get it!
