Yukmouth/Gamblaz - Block Shit
Reviewed By: Blutarski
- The beat is very good and the background affects have heat to them. Everyone rips up
the mic on this track. I like the flows on this track and the beat fits in perfectly.
A good opening track for the album.
- Some good production on this track teamed with good flows makes this a decen track. I
don't think that the flows and the beat really fit well together. Everyone who flows
on this track has some heat. I like the lyrics, but it's not going to well with the
beat or background affects.
- Yukmouth starts this track off with a sicc verse. The beat is pretty good and the
background affects are decent at best. The Gamblaz have decent flows, but Yukmouth has
a much better one. A good track overall, but I'm not really feeling it too much.
- The background instruments are great. The beat is pretty good and the flows are sicc!
I'm not really feeling the flow of the track overall, but I do like everything as an
individual aspect of the track. The hook is pretty good though. A decent track
overall.
- The production on this track is great. The beat and background affects are pretty
good. The hook is great too. Yukmouth never appears on this track. A little
dissapointing I thougt. A decent track overall.
- I like the overall flow of the track. The flows go well with the beat and background
affects. The hook is weak though. Overall this track isn't very good at all I thought.
I needed some better flows and lyrics.
- A track with a lot of heart to it. The beat is pretty good and the hook is excellent.
I'm feeling this track for the flows and lyrics. The lyrics are all about trying to
survive the ghetto day by day. A good track overall.
- One of my favorite Luniz and Keak tracks of all time. The beat is great and background
instruments are great. Three of the bay area best on this track. Probably the best
track on the album and it's taken from another album. Still a sicc track though.
- The beat gets your head moving. The Gamblaz have some sicc flows on this track. The
only thing I don't like about this track is that the beat has a start and stop motion
to it. That sounds coo starting the track off, but I wish the beat would have a more
continous flow to it later on in the track. A coo track.
- A sicc track for sure! Of course this track is taken from another album, but it still
is a great track. A classic really. The flows are great, the beat is perfect and the
computer affects are sicc. Having Too $hort, Spice 1 and Roger Troutman on this track
doesn't hurt either. A pure sicc track, no doubt.
- I like the beat and background affects. The track is very fast paced. The flows are
decent and that is the major downfall of the track. The hook is ok, but the track just
isn't that good. Not really feeling it at all.
- The final track on this short album has some heat to it. The Outlawz, C-Bo and JT The
Bigga Figga come tight. Yukmouth has a decent flow, but it's not up to the level that
he can perform at. The beat is good and the background are pretty good. One of my
favorite tracks on the album.
Overall this album has about three good tracks and the rest are all weak. I really
wasn't feeling this album at all. Only get it if you collect Yukmouth albums or if
you're a big Gamblaz fan, otherwise pass this one up.
