Zigidy - Zigidy

- My first impression of Zigidy is that his style sounds a bit like Smoov-E. He has that
same type of laid back flow to his lyrics. The first track is sicc. The beat is good
and Zigidy's flow is great. Not feeling the hook too much, but besides that this track
starts the album off right.
- I like the sound that this track starts off with, really eerie like. Zigidy's flow is a
lot faster on this track. Again I'm not really feeling the hook too much, but he has
some good lyrics. The production is good and has a laid back feel, yet it still seems
fast paced. A good track overall.
- Starts with a little phone call to Zigidy by a girl. Zigidy then starts flowing about
her. A nice beat that gives more of that laid back feel to the track. Zigidy spits some
good lyrics. Just a flow about a little "late night creep." Good.
- I'm not really feeling this track too much. The beat isn't that good. Zigidy's flow
seems to go a bit too fast for the production. The feel of the tracks sounds more like
a freestyle to me. Not really feeling it at all.
- Just a little interlude. Sounds pretty funny too.
- The title track has an old school type of feel to it. The beat and production sounds a
lot like an album from the early '90s. Zigidy has that laid back flow and spits some
coo lyrics. Much better than the previous track. I'm feeling it a lot more. Good track
overall.
- The beat and production has a dark feel to it. The beat is slow, but gets your head
moving. Zigidy spits some dark type of lyrics that fit perfectly with the production.
I'm feeling this track to the fullest. This is one of my favorite tracks. Everything
fits together perfectly and Zigidy's style is perfect.
- Track starts off with a new report of gang violence. The beat kicks in and Zigity spits
some of his best lyrics on the album. His flow is perfect for the beat and the
production and his flow together gets your head moving. This is a great track
overall.
- More of that laid back feel. Zigidy's flow isn't as good as on other tracks. The
production is alright, but I like the past few tracks better. Decent overall.
- A faster pace to this track. The production is coo and has a different kind of bass
line to it. Zigidy has a nice flow and spits some more good lyrics. A pretty good
track overall, nothing really special, but still solid.
- I'm feeling Zigidy on this track. He's talking about the rappers who feature big name
artists on thier albums just to make it. It's a true thing, since a lot of rappers get
the big names for thier first album. I'm feeling his on this track to the fullest. A
tight track overall.
- This is about letters to homies in jail. The production makes more of that dark feel
and Zigidy spits some appropriate lyrics. Good production to get the mood right. The
track's a bit short, but good on all points.
- Back to that laid back feel. Zigidy pulls it off well and has a perfect flow for the
track. I'm not really feeling the track as a whole though. I think even though he can
flow with the laid back he does better with faster beats.
- Zigidy puts it down for 50.50 records. It has more of that old school type of feel.
Just a sweet old school type of jam. Can't say much more.
- The bonus track is great. I'm feeling the production and Zigidy has one of the best
flows on the album. It has that same old school type of feel to it. Great way to end
the album.
Overall I was impressed with Zigidy. The production needed a little tweeking with here
and there and the hooks on most tracks weren't that good. They might have benefitted
from a female voice to offset Zigidy's flow. Besides those points I thought Zigity
spit some original lyrics and had some good topics to flow about. A good debut for
Zigidy and 50.50 records.
