What you need:
Recycled paper book
14 inch lace ribbon
1 Green artificial green leaf
Dried rosebud
3 small to mid-sized
Craft glue
Paint brush
Sponge brush
Scissors
Glue gun
Step by Step Instructions:
1. Cut a length of your ribbon to fit the length of your recycled paper book.
2. Fold ribbon over the binding of your book so half is on the front of the book
and half over the back.
3. Lay the book down flat to hold the ribbon in place while you glue down the
front part of the ribbon to the book.
4. Lift up the ribbon, dip your brush in the craft glue and apply lightly to the
area where the lace ribbon will rest.
5. Press your lace gently down into the glue. Smooth out to make sure the ribbon
lays down flat. Lift up the ribbon again if necessary. You should do this
quickly after applying the glue to avoid damaging the book and the look of your
craft.
6. Let the glue dry five minutes.
7. Repeat the gluing process for the back of the book.
8. Let dry five minutes.
9. Take your artificial leaf and position it where you would like it.
10. Lift the leaf and squeeze out a thin line of hot glue a ¼ “ in from the edge
of the leaf and apply the leaf to your book. Press for a few seconds.
11. Pick the three rosebuds you wish to use.
12. Take the first rosebud and glue in the centre of the leaf by squeezing a
drop of glue at the back of the bud and one very small drop at the end of the
stem.
13. Place your other two rosebuds and glue them to the leaf on the book in the
same manner as the first.
14. Let dry before using.
