The
"Tapuach beDvash" Ensemble was founded in 2003 in
Israel. It is comprised of professional musicians-immigrants from
The Soviet Union. Tapuach beDvash presents a new view of traditional
Jewish folklore music from all parts of the world where Jewish
culture has existed. Also Gypsy,Balkan, Russian and Oriental folk-music
is represented in the band's repertoire. The different sound's
experiments
create the original style of "The
Tapuach beDvash Ensemble". It's really folk style with unusial
sound and highly emotional and energetic performances. The Tapuach beDvash Ensemble has performed in
various Israel’s festivals, including The Festivals of Yiddish culture,
Zfat,Raanana and Tel-Aviv klezmer
festivals. The Tapuach beDvash Ensemble takes part in music projects of Bar Ilan University and National
Authority for Yiddish Culture (project " The Theatre of
Yiddish Songs.")

Marina Yakubovich
is
Israel performer of Yiddish songs .Marina took part in
klezmer festival in Kiev,St.Peterburg and in The 3rd
International
S.Michoels'Art festival (Moscow 2000)..She was
a participant of " Yiddish and Yiddishkait" seminars in
Poland, Ukraine, Moldavia and Russia. She performed in Germany,
Denmark, Sweden. In Israel Marina Yakubovich took part
in festivals of Yiddish Culture,Zfat klezmer festival, Storytellers' fest in Givataim, in Israeli radio and
TV programs.
Tapuach beDvash Ensemble, Marina Yakubovich
have performed with dr.Mordehay Yushkovsky as storyteller (concerts and lectures about Yiddish culture,
music, theater, literature and poetry ) Tapuach beDvash
Ensemble and Marina Yakubovich took part in The 5th Jewish Theatre festival in 2005. Now they are recording the
new cd-album "Folk music and Yiddish songs".
