FAQ
Q: Which kind of cable is appropriate?
A:
Ordinary antennae cable (coax cable or coaxial cable) of good quality. Because it is better to use one long cable, buy a sufficiently long roll of cable.
Q:
I have never worked with F-connectors before. Can I fit them myself on the cable ends?
A:
Yes, you can. Let the dealer show you how to do it or go to the Internet and find more information.
Q: What is the price of an F-connector?
A: Between 4 and 10 kr (0.5 - 1.5 Euro).
Q:
Is there anything else that I need to know when I buy the cable?
A:
Yes. Besides the F-connectors, buy a box of nail cable clips.
You will need them when you lay the cable in your home from the dish to the TV satellite receiver.
Also buy some cable strips to attach the cable at the dish, outdoors.
Finally, a one-meter strip of
self-amalgamating waterproof sealing tape
should be more than sufficient. In some shops, they sell it by the meter so you do not need to buy an whole roll.
Note the text on the left here "When all work is finished" - in other words, be sure all is done and everything is working okay, before you put it on. This is a kind of waterproof sealing at the LNB for the cable connection there.
