![]() Jerez de la Frontera, Sherry capital of Spain and birthplace of Flamenco, is a beautiful little city not far from Rota. We spent several days in Jerez (pronounced her-eth) visiting local bodegas, tasting local cuisine, watching Flamenco and shopping. ![]() Domecq, a local sherry producer with extensive Spanish history, has a lovely bodega we were able to tour. Here, we stopped for drinks and tapas, but unfortunately, the Spanish weren't eating, yet. We still haven't got meal times figured out! ![]() We stopped in the market to take a peak at the fresh produce. The prices are unbelievably low. ![]() Beautiful veggies, food for the Spanish people, can be had for much less than in traditional stores. ![]() A meat vendor hangs all types of dried meats from different regions of Spain. ![]() Outside the public market, Carmen stops to smell dried herbs for sale. |
