We stopped on the way up to catch a few sunset pictures.
As the sun sets in the west (as it often does), the hills to the east were illuminated with patches of color.
One more view of the sunset on the road to the summit of Spruce Knob.
The observation tower that allows an unobstructed view over the treetops.
This is the spot we believe once held the geological survey mark. It has since been removed.
A view from the top of the lookout tower as the sun sinks below the horizon.
Another view from the top of the tower.
A view from the second level of the tiered tower.
