Club Information The Hill Farms Toastmasters Club was started in 1982. Hill Farms is Toastmasters Club #4940 and we are one of several clubs in the Greater Madison area. Organizationally, Hill Farms Toastmasters Club is part of the following:
The mission of Hill Farms Toastmasters Club (and other Toastmasters Clubs around the world) is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth. In addition to club meetings, Hill Farms Toastmasters Club regularly communicates with it's members via e-mail. Hill Farms Toastmasters Club members are encouraged to complete the Communication and Leadership Program Manual (10 speech projects) to receive the Competent Toastmaster (CTM) award and other recognition. The number and types of speeches members have given are tracked using an electronic spreadsheet. This spreadsheet is updated by the Vice President Education and is reviewed by club members every three months. Hill Farms Toastmasters Club goals are documented on an annual Club Success Plan. Plan activities include: member achievements, new member recruitment, club promotion, club officer training, membership maintenance, and membership retention. Each of these activities include: goals, strategies, resources, assignments, timetable estimates and actual completion dates. The Club Success Plan is reviewed by club officers at monthly Executive Committee Meetings.
