I travelled on to Cooinda which in the middle of the Kakadu Wetlands. I took a flight over the Park, which just gave the most spectatular views over the area.
This picture shows a bush fire in the Park. During the Dry Season the local Aboriginals burn off the bush to encourage regeneration of the area.
This is the Wetland areaof the Park, and 3/4s of Australia's bird population live or visit this area of Kakadu...just spectacular.
Here we have the Yellow Water River, which flows through the South of Kakadu. There were lots of Crocs lurking in here as we flew over...
I went for a dawn river cruise on the Yellow Water River. These water lilies were everywhere - along with fresh water crockodiles and myrid water birds.
