Ken and Kellie were staying in Port Douglas while I was there. We went Go Carting...I was hopeless and was lapped five times by Ken and the girls. Needless to say I won't be taking this up as a serious hobby in the future! .
We went fishing on the Daintree River which is just North of Port Douglas. It was wet for most of the trip, but really good fun...this was my big catch of the day!.
This is the rest of the fishing gang.
When I left Port Douglas I travelled north to the Daintree National Park. I stayed in the middle of the rainforest, which as the name suggests is very wet! The views are spectacular, and the roads a bit hairy!
I took a trip from Cape Tribulation up the Bloomfield Track to Cooktown. As the name suggests this is a track which is only accesible by four wheel drive vehicls. The track is about 170km's and took four hours to traverse. We stopped at the Bloomfield Falls on the way and were given a tour by the 'Sister's' a group of Aboriginal women who make their living by sharing their way of life with tourists.
