Many countries fought against the French and their allies during the Napoleonic period..... Among them were the Sweden, Austria, Russia, Prussia, Spain (following the defeat of their fleet at Trafalgar) and Portugal. There were also some American, German and even French who were loyal to King George, and not Napoleon.
Prussian Landwehr Infantry (Below) -
I saw these whilst flicking through a book of uniforms and noticed that they didn't wear shakos, so decided to make a couple since I was running out of shakos.
The tunics are totally custom designed and printed onto sticky labels, and strips of red sticky label have been stuck around the caps
Prussian 4th Life Hussars (Above) - I love these guys, the torsos are custom designed and are similar to those of my British Hussar. The stylised skull and crossbone pattern was again printed on sticky labels, and even close up it is hard to see that they are not an original part of the shako. Like the British Hussars they have white gloves.
From the Sharpe TV films I don't remember any Prussians being featured until Waterloo, and so far I have only read as far as 1812 "Sharpe's Sword".
Spanish/Portuguese guerillas (Below) -
I decided to make some armed civilians as I had a lot of good torsos that weren't being used for soldiers. These are a rag-tag collection of men who have stolen weapons and clothing from the French they've killed.
