Revelation 19:10 "And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Y'shua (Jesus): worship G-d: for the testimony of Y'shua (Jesus) is the spirit of prophecy." (KJV)
John falls at the angel's feet to worship him! The angel immediately corrects John telling him that he is a fellow servant of Y'shua. G-d is the only one who is worthy of our worship no man, angel, or any created thing is to receive worship but G-d alone.
At times men have been worshipped. In the verses below we see that Cornelius fell at Peters feet and started to worship him. Now if Peter were really the first pope, he would have permitted this worship to continue. See below Peter's response.
Acts 10:25-26 "And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him. But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man." (KJV)
Revelation 19:11-16 "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of G-d. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty G-d. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND L-RD OF L-RDS." (KJV)
This is the Second Coming of Y'shua and the Battle of Armageddon.
Here we see Y'shua on a white horse. He is called "Faithful and true. He is about to return to earth and judge the nations. He is righteous in his judgments and all he does. (This corresponds to the Hebrew letter "Koph")
His Flaming eyes are burning, penetrating, searching exposing sin.
His is wearing many crowns. These would be the crowns the believers received at the Bema Judgment and laid at his feet.
His clothes are dipped in blood. This symbolizes the bloodshed about to come.
He is referred to as "The word of G-d". John used this term to describe him in John 1:1 and 1:14.
The armies of Heaven are with him riding white horses. They are wearing white linen symbolizing their righteousness in Y'shua. These are the believers. We are the ones who are accompanying Y'shua. We are following Y'shua. Can you imagine what it will look like to the people on earth to see Y'shua and untold millions on horseback coming out of the sky! There is no reason to believe that this is just the "Church" believers. This may also include the Tanakh believers and the Tribulation believers. The angels may also be apart of this entourage.
The two-edged sword coming out of his mouth tells us G-d will judge by the force of His word. He never uses his hands or any other body part only His word. He speaks.
Rev 19:16 "And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND L-RD OF L-RDS." (KJV)
This is exactly who He is! He is the ruler and creator of the Universe. What a mighty G-d we have! This is the high point of all history!!!
The revelation of Y'shua presented in the book of Revelation is in contrast to the Messiah of the Gospels where He is revealed in rejection, humiliation, suffering, and death. His return is to be one of triumph, glory, sovereignty, and majesty.
Revelation 19:17-19 "And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great G-d; That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army." (KJV)
The angel calls to the carnivorous birds telling them come to "The supper of the great G-d". This is another term for the "Battle of Armageddon". The following passages from the Tanakh and the B'rit Hadashah describe the battle.
Psalms 2:1-5,9; Isaiah 34:1-6; Isaiah 63:3-6; Joel 3:2,9-16;
Zechariah 14:2-3, 12; Revelation 14:14-20 ;Revelation 16:16
The location of the battle:
The staggering dimensions of this conflict can scarcely be conceived by man. The battlefield will stretch from Megiddo on the north (Zech 12:11;Rev. 1:16) to Edom on the South (Isa. 34:5,6; 63:1), a distance of approximately 200 miles. It will reach from the Mediterranean Sea on the west to the hills of Moab on the east, a distance of almost 100 miles. It will include the Valley of Jehoshaphat (Joel 3:2,12) and Plains of Esdraelon. At the center of the entire area will be the city of Jerusalem. (Zech 14:1,2)
Into this area the multiplied millions of men, doubtless approaching 400 million, will be crowded for the final holocaust of humanity. The kings with their armies will come from the north and south, from the east and from the west In the most dramatic sense this will be the "Valley of decision" for humanity (Joel 3:14) and the great winepress into which will be poured the fierceness of the wrath of Almighty G-d (Rev 19:15). (The End Times, p. 163 by Dr Herman A Hoyt)
The valley of Jehoshaphat is a valley just east of Jerusalem between the Holy city and the Mount of Olives. Also known as the Kidron Valley.
The valley of Esdraelon is a valley 20 miles long and 14 miles wide, north and west of Jerusalem between the Holy City and the Mediterranean Sea.
Megiddo is a flat plain in the valley of Esdraelon. This is in the north beneath the city of Megiddo.
Bozrah was a city in Edom, east of the Jordan River and near Petra, the capital city of Edom.
The reasons for the battle:
What will draw all nations of the world into the area of Armageddon? They will gather themselves there for various reasons. It would seem that the following are three of the more important reasons.
1) Because of the sovereignty of G-d. WE are told he will gather them here: (Isa. 34:2, Joel 3:2, Zech 14: 2, Zech 3:8, Rev 16:16)
2) Because of the deception of Satan. (Rev 16:13, 14)
3) Because of the hatred of the nations for Y'shua. (Ps 2:1-3; Rev 11:15, 18; 12:12; Zech 14:4; Acts 1:9-12)
The chronology of the battle:
1) The drying up of the Euphrates River (Rev 16:12) Allowing the nations from the east to march toward Israel.
2) The destruction of Jerusalem. (Zech 12:2; 14:2; Luke 21:20)
