Sorry Kids
Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. I've been quite busy.
Shyeah, I'm assistant conductor for the musical again. I have two assistants now that I have to train since I'm graduating this year. They're catching on what to do though, so I don't really have to worry. The hardest thing is being the middleman for Rich and Pat. They don't have to experience that...yet. The thing is, Rich is like "we're going to have a great, big orchestra!" and Pat tells me "we're going to have to cut people for that lift." Why are we putting a damn lift up anyways? Argh. There's hardly any room in the orchestra pit anyways. They just need to knock out that damn back wall and make the woodroom part of the pit. But whatever. That requires money and our drama department, like every other school, is low on el dinero.
Some people may know this, some may not- but I'm running for Rose Festival Ambassador. The preliminary judging is on February 1st, when 6 judges have to pick 6 of the contesting young women out of 15. Great. I have to write a one minute speech on the topic of "Completely Captivating" and memorize that. I think I'll work on that after I blog. Yes, I am very nervous.
I have absolutely 0 hours for CMS. The place I was going to volunteer at today was full up on volunteers and begged me not to come. Hehe. Probably because it's the end of the semester and many students have to fill up on their hours for a class. Oh well. I decided to stick to CMS, even though it's kicking my ass.
Been working on The Management a bit. We have 8 new writers. It's crazy. Sarah and I only asked about 4, but some people *coughmaggienataliecough* shyly asked if they could to...in their own...insinuating ways. Amusing.
I like how I thought this weekend would be busy, and I wouldn't have time to study for Finals, but everything got canceled...which is good and bad. I was going to copy music tommorow with Sai and Madeleine, but Ren called me to say that rehearsals were canceled, so no one would be there to let us in the school. Meh.
So, Ben gave me the orchid he drew. Unfortunately, I was brushing my hair a few mornings ago and accidentally knocked off a few petals. Hehehe.
I got a boatload of yarn yesterday because it was on sale. Wahoo. New projects. I also got a book with 99 different stitch patterns, but the problem is that many knitting books use knitting abbreviations and I HATE IT >< It's so hard...
In other news, I'm so close to priestess.
Bleeeeeeargh >< Tonight I had my interview for Beloit College in Wisconsin. My mom kept on trying to prep me in the car. I really didn't want that. I just wanted to clear my mind and breathe. Argh, I was very irritated. But then I cooled down when I saw the Beloit Director of Admissions guy. He's actually pretty cool. Unlike the Scripps interviewer, who was very formal and stuff, he made me laugh and made me feel very comfortable. It was nice. He made me want to go to Beloit instead of Scripps. He made me feel like everything was alright- my grades, my W in Pre-Calc, my scores...he made this funny pun, something like "we look at your essays (SA's,) not your SATs." Hahaha, that was great. But yeah, I kinda wanna go there now. ><
So...I have to work on my app for OSU because it's due on the 15th. Great.
I'm kinda bored.
T.T So, I get back to school and senior hall is buzzing with "omg! I got accepted to blah blah blah and they're giving me blah blah blah for a scholarship!" I try to pretend to mind my own business until they ask "how about you, Jade? Didn't you apply Early Descision to Scripps?" and in my mind, I think shit. So I explain to them that they just want to watch my grades a bit longer because they tend to flip-flop. "Oh well, at least you don't have to reapply." Yeah, great. That made me feel so much better ><
Well, Beloit sounds really happy to see me again. But then again, they're always happy. Too bad they're in Wisconsin or else I would go to their college in a snap. Ack, that reminds me, I still have to do their essay question T.T I hate the topics where they ask why I want to go to that college. I mean...the admissions guy seems nice, the campus is beautiful, they seem to have a lot of personality, I like their college size. But that's it. I'm not really the one to "praise" a college in order to be accepted into it. Maybe I can call the admissions guy tommorow and we can talk about.
So, today was pretty much me winging homework that I had forgotten to write in my planner before break. I got almost all of it done, except government, but Mr. H is pretty leniant on me. Blah, I just did 3 days worth of math homework. Too much. I still have 4 more sections to do =(
Not to mention I hate my wireless, so I can't even upload this blog at the moment. I also lag and die a lot in RO. It definitely spoils the fun. I also can't find my USB drive. I think I left it at my grandparents, which makes me aggravated because I would like to start transferring shiznit from my pc to my laptop. Ha. I guess I could get a USB cord, but I really don't want to.
And it's cold. And I have a headache.
No, I Haven't Listened To This Song the Whole Time I am sleepy. What I did? Stuff. Ummm. I remember watching Housesitter with what's his face and Goldie something. And I went to Lin-sama's house with Sarah and Bronwen. Sarah was the only one excited over the new year. She's a funny kiddo. I need to do my math homework now.
Went to a party last night with my father. Yay. Kareoke. Ummm...homework now.
I Want To Have Sex As This Song Plays Even though it's about a chick wanting to kill this Johnny person. But it's so damn hott.
I love my vaio. Mitch, please tell me a length for your scarf. And would your sister (master aco) wear one?
I Feel Like Crap Blah boysarestupid. Gotta mail Thalia's and Chris' scarves tommorow. My cat is grooming herself.
So, for my Christmas present...my parents, grandparents and myself are combining dinero to get me a Sony Vaio for college/now. The model is in the link. It's on sale somewhere. Sorry Jamie, I know you disapprove. As does my unky Eric. Hmmm.
I really miss RO. Went to my grandparent's this morning, but their internet was down. So, I slept. Damnit. Bombchu is sleeping on the stack of my folded blankets. Psh.
Gotta drive mom to work tommorow. I better sleep.
Yes, Sarah Yay for being awake at 4:30 am. Not. I just woke up from a long nap. I told Ben around 10:45 last night that I was sleepy and was going to take a nap. Nap my ass. I pretty much slept the whole day.
Well, Sarah did sleep over two nights ago. She helped mom and I decorate. We tried to watch Ju-On: The Grudge (Japanese) but it started to skip in freeze. So we're like "meh." Yes, I was a wanker. Anyhow, we went to sleep. Woke up. Looked and talked about RO stuff. Then we watched Castle of Cagliostro, movie with Lupin. Shyeah. Then she went home.
I'm Kinda Hungry Ragnarok won't work on this laptop because it is without Direct3d. My uncle's like "yeah, it's about 7 years old" and suggested I move my graphic's card to my father's computer. Great. More fun.
I went on an Ophelia image splurge. Yeah, my "obsession" with her came back from reading Shakespeare's Hamlet.
...yeah, I'm gonna do stuff now.
While RO Downloads on this Laptop...
Taken from Rebecca *coughwhodoestoomanyquizzescough* who took it from b1nnz0r.
So, mom made me run errands today (like usual.) I stopped by the post office to mail stuff. After I slipped the letters into the little slot inside, I made my way towards the long line to send off a few cds for mom. I sneezed. My petite little "-choo!" And several people smiled pitifuly at me as I smiled weakly back. But... .. ...cute guy! >< He was so cute! T.T He was mailing stuff to his family in California. ^^ So after I mailed my package, I just thought "...yeah he's cute." Then I stop at Walgreens and on my way back I look to my left and I see post office guy. I was like AAAAAHHH IT'S HIM AGAIN. It's that you see someone downtown twice in a week thing. Anyhow, I only mention this because the RO download is at 93%.
Watch me jinx it.
When it comes to driving, these things are the bane of my existance:
And going off the list motif, I watched the Legend of Earthsea. Yeah, watched. As in, the movie. Things that are JUST WRONG:
The Only Green Day Song I Like I walk along, I walk along. Chris, I think you'd like this song.
So, my AP English teacher is sending my parents a progress report because my research paper is basically a D or lower (did not reach necessary # of pages + 1 day late.) And the research paper is 20% of my grade. I've decided to intercept it. She told me I could still save myself because she believes I belong in the class, but the paper just pulled me down way too much that she had to do something about it. Shyeah.
Yay for knitting. Not yay for osmosis.
During lunch, I mailed Ronen's damn cd. Then I went to the bento place by Seattle's Best and got some yakisoba tofuness. Talked to the guy that's obsessed with World of Warcraft. He swears that in RO you can have npc children. That may be. But not in iRO. Ooooh. Then I sat in with Ms. Salvi's Honors English sophomores and listened to their discussion about Julius Caesar by Shakespeare.
My Name is Bumps...Speed Bumps Quote my Uncle Jet. He's pretty whack.
Sorry haven't been on so long. Router was being naughty. Ummm, everything's going alright. New bio and pre-calc classes are pretty cool. Saw Jamie after school yesterday for comics and stuff. Wahoo. I don't really like this song. Kicked it with Bennifer, Sarah, Mai and Helen after school. Man, I really wanna play RO, but I gotta send in my payment soon. It's alright because Ben's little bro is playing =) Tryl, make sure nothing goes wrong and if something happens (aka: someone got 2nd job class or left or did something stupid,) tell me! Remind me to give you expulsion power. Speaking about our guild, I miss GC Power! I'm gonna be so friggin bored this weekend.
Meh Just watched some Rebecca St. James music videos. They're weren't that good. The "Reborn" music video dissapointed me a lot. It seemed kinda...fake? It was all symbolic and stuff, but it just felt fake. Like she tried too hard to make it cool. I dunno. I think it's because she always moves. Each time you see her, she's moving. It's kinda perturbing. I liked her "Expressions of Your Love Video." Wahoo.
So...I'm bored. I should probably work on the Lab Coat Mafia site. Great. Sarah, please make a new layout.
I was listening to "Song of Bangladesh" by Joan Baez. For some reason, it's hard to stop listening to. But this song is pretty cool. I haven't heard it in awhile. Yay for Christian techno?
Anyhow, so mod history was interesting. We studied for the test. Rebecca and I went to a windowless room to study...well, I slept. We drew a picture of a window on a blank sheet of paper and taped it to the wall. It was awesome. It had a stick figure of Mr. V fishing for his piranha, an outhouse, a sun, rain, lightning, 2 mountains, grass, birds, a one-eyed dog, a donkey/cow, a spilled radioactive bin, and a huge sperm-mouse. Mr V enjoyed it muchly. You should check it if you have class in the 1515. Yeah, sorry I skipped out on the study group this morning. I slept. Yeah.
Yeah, we had a speaker today. She was Peggy Flemming- the person that one a gold medal in ice skating at the Olympics back in the...ummm...60's? The teachers were really hyped because she was their idol back in the day. But we weren't. Frankly, she sucked as a speaker. She just kept talking about herself and her achievements. Even when she didn't achieve anything, it was still turned into an achievement. Blah. Yeah, no one really pulled anything from her experience. And the reporters and camera crews were just...no. I think the only thing the student body appreciated was when our principal asked about a female president and Peggy Flemming was like booyah! In her Peggy Flemming way.
I had 3rd block out again because of schedule change. But I didn't feel like staying on the library and blankly looking at the computer screen. So, I kicked it in Fate's speech class and listened to speeches. I nodded off in 4 of them only because they're voices were soft and kinda lulled. Wahoo. Fate thought I was crazy for wanting to sit in the speech class, but whatever. Maybe. Much better than staring at a computer. I was going to sit in Mr. W's class but they were peer editing, so it was kinda meh.
In Biology, my group finished stuff early. Like, 45 mins early. So I wandered around the school. Played basketball with PE2 for a bit, said hi to the computer teacher, talked with one of the math teachers in the hallway, ate jelly beans with Rachel and the BSG at the college counseling center, and made fun of the barbies with the Physics students.
Last night, I put some photo collages together with cardboard and clips. Then I hung them by my new desk location, so now I feel better and have more stuff to look at when I procrastinate. Yes Sarah, there are pictures of you. And yes, Miyazaki, there are pictures of you, too. And there's a picture of DJ Rabbi and his hos. Hahahaha.
Oh yeah, new layout. Sarah pretty much made it. I moved the mouse around. Yeah. I can't stand it.
