Today, I (Kevin) did some work on the post-production of The Intruder and we filmed a scene from MGS: GotLE with Kirk and Curtis.

Well, last night was certainly a busy one; we filmed an entire short film! It's called The Intruder, and it's a thriller starring Kevin and Kirk. Kyle Kaye (who plays Col. Campbell in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Guns of the Liberty Eaters) was our cinematographer and Kim did the makeup. This genre is something new for us, so we're really excited to see how the movie turns out!
UPDATE: Apparently, Kevin was on the news last night (probably as a part of a news report on the threat to the University of Winnipeg).

Kevin here. In the spirit of unbridled narcissism, I urge you to check out Full Of It, a movie being released on DVD today that I did some background work on. I was on set for three scenes: one taking place in a math class (the chances of seeing me in that scene are the best, since it took two days to shoot and at one point the crew actually filmed a close-up of me), one taking place at a school dance (the chances aren't so good, since there are scads of people and I am one of many guys wearing a suit), and one taking place at a basketball game (pretty much no chance at all; I was in the top corner of a set of stands filled with people and the cameras weren't even pointing in my general direction). If you can spot me, send me an e-mail. I'd offer to give you a prize, but who am I kidding? We can't afford it.

The Chain Letter has been removed from this site. Don't worry, though, it'll be back soon after its screening at the Reel Youth Film Festival on November 22. In other news, Full Of It is released on DVD tomorrow, so check it out to see if you can find Kevin lurking in the background somewhere.

About half of us were in the city this weekend, so we only had the chance to do a few establishing shots and a bit of audio recording.

I (Kevin) just realized that the Hit By A Bus crew is going to be out of town on the 22nd, so we won't be able to take down The Chain Letter until the next day or the day after that. You know what that means . . . you just that much more time to take a look at the movie before it's pulled off the site!

More good news about the Reel Youth Film Festival . . . not only will The Chain Letter play at The Cinematheque in Winnipeg, it will also be playing at the Yorkton Short Film & Video Festival. In anticipation of its screening at The Cinematheque on November 22, though, The Chain Letter will not be viewable on this site for two months before it appears on the big screen. However, that leaves until September 22 for you to get one last look at The Chain Letter before it disappears for two months, so be sure to take a look at it!

This weekend was a very busy one for production on MGS: GotLE. We spent yesterday and today filming the movie's climactic fight and the movie's final scene. Let me tell you, it feels really good to have that piece of the film over and done with (when you see the fight, you'll know why it was so difficult)!

Great news! The Chain Letter has been accepted into the Reel Youth Film Festival and will play at The Cinematheque at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 22. Click here to see the program for the festival.

Yesterday, we had to re-shoot a few shots from the scene that Andrew, Kirk, and Kevin did the day before. There were a few continuity and technical issues that needed fixing . . . told you the scene was difficult!

Andrew, Kirk, and Kevin spent yesterday afternoon and evening filming a scene from Metal Gear Solid: Guns of the Liberty Eaters. This particular scene was a bit of a challenge, since we were shooting in a small space and what happened in the scene took a bit of ingenuity to portray convincingly. Despite the technical challenges, though, it was one of our most enjoyable scenes to shoot, and we all had a great time!

Happy birthday to me (Kevin, that is)! Today we finished off the fight scene we started on August 26, and I've already started the editing. It looks pretty good!
