Incorporated by the Professional Accountants Ordinances (Chapter
50 of the Laws of Hong Kong) on 1 January 1973, the Hong Kong
Society of Accountants (the Society) is the only statutory licensing
body of accountants in Hong Kong responsible for regulation of the
accountancy profession.
ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is the
largest and fastest-growing international accountancy body, with
320,000 students and members in 160 countries. ACCA has an extensive
network of over 70
staffed offices and other centres around the world.
Australia's largest professional body, CPA Australia is also one
of the largest accounting bodies in the world with more than 102 000
members and an 8000 strong student base. Our members are found
across the breadth of the business world, from industry and
commerce, public practice and the public sector, to government
organisations and academia.
