History
Malice Mizer is French which
means "malice and tragedy". This concept is decided by Mana, he has lots
interests in European classical music and specially interested to something
like vampires. At the time, Közi and Mana formed Malice Mizer, Mana had
started to research about "What's human?"this kind of philosophy with Közi.
Közi who is so curious really impressed by Mana's idea and he believed that
Mana must be an interesting guy which he wished to play band with.
At the first year, they
played band with drummer Gaz, and vocal Tetsu, but they left after that.
When in 1994, new vocal Gackt Camui entered Malice Mizer, that time Malice
Mizer began really popular around Japan. Until Major debut, Malice Mizer was
so popular among Japan and even many European ans Asian countries. However,
lucky doesn't always right here, when Gackt left to release his solo work,
drummer Kami died at the same time unluckily.(sigh)
Malice Mizer still haven't
give up, they released new single after resting for more than a year with
only three members, Mana, Közi and bassist Yuki. Even there were no vocal,
they tried to use their music to stop media' misunderstanding and showed how
Malice Mizer will be in the future. in 1999, new vocal Klaha entered, Malice
Mizer's music had a bit change into more dramatic, moreover, they also
firstly attended in a movie <baranokune> which was an European vampire
story.
In 2001, each members in
Malice Mizer also want to have their own solo work, so they decided to
disband suddenly. In a sudden, this is Malice Mizer style, work for now,
future? It's future tense. So they are just working for living today. And
all members began to have their solo act. They all produced own official web
site and have thier own performance with different bands.
In my mind, Malice Mizer
music really impressed me much. I wasn't into rock music at fast, but when I
met Malice Mizer, it really changes my mind. Since I am a classical music
lover, so when I first listened to Malice Mizer, i was very surprised that
there is classical rock in the world. Also, only three to five people can
make these kinds of music was really attractive, I was so impressed that how
only a few people can make the harmonic feelings. So I started to interested
in Rock music. My favourite song of Malice Mizer is <moonlight fatasia>(i
don't know the Romanji, forgive me!^^"), the melody contains Spanish classic
which is very gorgeous.
Each melody Malice Mizer
plays I will never forget and I am thankful for all members in Malice Mizer.
I hope all fans of Malice Mizer won't forget every gorgeous and sweet memory
they gave to us, and it will be always right in our mind whenever how time
goes by......(tears)
