food plant : Aristolochiaceae;  Aristolochia kankauensis, A. liukiuensis, A.shimadai,  A.cucurbitifolia,

imago : big size,  65~90mm,  common species,

life cycle : one generation a year, egg 5days, first moult 8days, second moult 7days, third moult 9days, pupa hatches after 18days,  flying April/October,
