 Water

The advantages of water:

            1.     We drink water when we are thirsty.

            2.     If there is a fire, firemen use water to put it out.

            3.     We use water to take a bath.

            4.     We use water to fill water guns for fun.

 The disadvantages of water:

           1.     When ships sail in the sea, they may meet huge storms.

The sailors may have  accidents and the ships may sink.

           2.     If there is heavy rain, the plants and the crops in the field

                   may die.

            3.     When there is heavy rain, landslides may occur.

            4.     Heavy rain may cause flooding.

 Our view on “Water”:

Water is very important to us. If there were no water in the world, all of us would die!

Do’s and Don’ts

The practice of the customs is often the result of superstition. Superstition should not be encouraged, but it is worth knowing the customs of other countries in order to gain a better understanding of their cultures.

P.6A            Cyril Chan, Andy Cheung and Hilton Lee

U.S.A : 13 and 666 are bad numbers in the U.S.A.

13 is an unlucky number. 666 is the sign of Satan. Some people said that Satan would kidnap someone at six o’clock on the 6th  of June. Therefore, many people in the U.S. don’t go out that day.
