法庭書記的話 : 記念一位尊敬的法官 - 一士鍔鍔李宗鍔

跟隨李官工作好一段日子,感覺李官為人平易近人,不拘小節,不喜擺官架子,受到一衆和他一起工作的同事喜愛,他從不以上司態度對待下屬,做事經常親力親為,我覺得只有真心相信 "人皆生而平等" 的人才能夠做得到這點;  "剛毅木訥近仁"正好用來形容李官,他為人率直真誠,有話直說,不會轉彎抹角;對同事朋友如是,對律師與訟人亦然;

在法庭上,他憑良心去判案,剛正不阿,不畏強權,橫眉冷對千夫指,敢言作風人所皆知;  他更時常警惕自已不要被不合理的法律條 文及案例阻礙公義的實行,不屑成為一部無感情的審案機器;  儘管有時在庭上他會嚴詞指出律師所犯的錯誤,但在嚴肅的面孔背後,藏著的 卻是一顆熱熾關懷的心,經常不厭其煩教導被告人及無律師代表人士,即使被指責說話太多亦在所不計,只為求令他們透徹瞭解爭訟的利弊;

李官在庭上常自嘲'芝麻綠豆官',無非是謙謙之詞,事實上他一向審案態度認真,從不放過每一個值得研究的法律觀點,聽取證人作供亦觀人於微,明察秋亳;  孟子曰:"....不卑小官,進不隱賢,必以其道....";李官在自己的司法崗位上 可說己經 克盡己任,無愧於心;

我在工作上若有錯失地方,李官會直言指陳,公私分明,從不護短;  李官的離去令我頓感失去一個學習的榜樣,我在他身上學到的將可使我受用一生;

容許 我借用以下一首歌曲,獻給離去的李官:

My Way

And now, the end is near;

And so I face the final curtain.

My friend, I'll say it clear,

I'll state my case, of which I'm certain.

I've lived a life that's full.

I've traveled each and every highway;

But more, much more than this,

I did it my way.

Regrets, I've had a few;

But then again, too few to mention.

I did what I had to do

And saw it through without exemption.

I planned each charted course;

Each careful step along the byway,

But more, much more than this,

I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew

When I bit off more than I could chew.

But through it all, when there was doubt,

I ate it up and spit it out.

I faced it all and I stood tall;

And did it my way.

I've loved, I've laughed and cried.

I've had my fill; my share of losing.

And now, as tears subside,

I find it all so amusing.

To think I did all that;

And may I say - not in a shy way,

"No, oh no not me,

I did it my way".

For what is a man, what has he got?

If not himself, then he has naught.

To say the things he truly feels;

And not the words of one who kneels.

The record shows I took the blows -

And did it my way!
