Our program began. The first official meeting was with Mr. Mohammed Abdel Al, Undersecretary of Ministry of youth and Dr. Safay El Din Kharbuch Counselor of the Minister of Youth. We had a translator. She was an Egyptian girl named Islam. She is pretty and dressed up decently. She speaks clear English with a soft voice. In the meeting, we communicated and shared opinions on topics in Hong Kong and Egypt like youth policy, education, economic situation and politics. We were also asked to share our expectation and impression of Egypt on our arrival.

Before lunch, there were a few hours for free. Islam, our translator, brought us to Old Cairo to take a walk. In downtown, there are all kinds of shops. The traffic is busy. Now and then, all cars would halt to let passengers to pass, but mostly the traffic police is responsible to the direct the cars. There is also a shopping mall like ones in Mong Kok. The buildings in Old Cairo are a mixture of modern and old style. There are old classic building owing to the time when Egypt as a colony; there are also modern buildings with glasses as the materials. They are standing side by side and become a special scene.
We went back to our hotel to have lunch. After that, it was a time for rest until six o'clock in the evening. The four of us stayed in our room and chatted. We brought up all kinds of topics and we got to know each other more.

In the evening, it was a visit to the Research Center for Political and Strategic Studies - Al Ahram newspaper. We talked with Mr. Soltan, the director of the centre. Two local university students were also in the meeting. The meeting was mainly a discussion of politics. Mr. Soltan gave us a general picture of the political issues in Egypt like how to aware the citizens of politics.
At night, we met two local girls during dinner. Their names are Rabaab and Mei. They were representatives of a youth club and would be our company for the rest of the program.
