License issued by Civil Aviation in HK SAR
Privileges of Foreign Licence
Holder of a foreign pilot's licence is allowed to exercise the private privileges of his/her licence on Hong Kong registered aircraft as if his/her foreign licence was a Hong Kong PPL without:
a. an IR;
b. a night rating;
c. an instructor rating; or
d. any additional rating or privileges.
Before exercising the privileges of a foreign PPL, the holder will be required to:
show an acceptable knowledge of Hong Kong aviation law and procedures; and
have a flight with an Assistant Flying Instructor or Flight Instructor in which local procedures and airspace constraints were demonstrated and during which the holder showed an acceptable standard of flying.
Exercising these privileges are subject to the holder having a valid medical certificate from the state of licence issue, and meeting all necessary flight recency requirements of that licence.
