4. David WALDROP I was born about 1764 in Granville Co., NC.. He died about 1834 in Monroe Co., KY.. 1795 --- Frances Davenport deeded his negro girl to his daughter Nancy Waldrop, on 8 Jan 1795, Deed C, Pkg #369, Newberry District, SC.

1797 Feb 27 --- Deed Book "D2" Newberry Co., SC. page 270. Joseph Davenport and wife, Margaret, to DAVID WALDROP, 125 acres of land on branch of Beaver Dam Creek, tributary of Little River, orignially granted to Federick Glower and from him conveyed to James Davenport who conveyed it to said Joseph Davenport, by lease and release on 24 Dec and 25 Dec 1788... bound by lands of Joseph Davenport, Sr. (decd.), John Davis, William Davenport,and Isaac Davenport... Witnessed by: Jariott Campbell, EZEKIAH WALDROP, Jesse Kirby, and James Davenport. Dower: EZEKIAH WALDROP dated 20 Nov 1797

1801 Sep 26 --- Deed book "E-346" Newberry Co., SC. David Waldrop to Jehu Pitts, consideration of $321 conveyed 145 acres on Little River; part of 500 acres originally granted to James Waldrop, Sr. on 18 Feb 1772; laid out to David Waldrop according to last will and testament of James Waldrop Sr., dec'd. Bounded on lands of Isaac Case, William Gary, and land laid out for John Waldrop. Wife Mary Pitts signed dower release 26 Sep 1801.

1806 Oct 3 --- "Deed book "P-592" Newberry Co., SC. David Waldrop to Johathan Davenport 125 acres on Beaver Dam Creek, branch of Little River, original grant to Frederick Glover who conbeyed to James Davenport, and James conveyed to Joseph Davenport who conveyed it to David Waldrop. Bonded on lands of Isaac Davenport, Wm. Davenport and others. Dower: Nancy Waldrop signed dower release 11 Oct 1806.

1810 --- Census Barren Co., KY

1832 Sep 27 --- Was in Newberry Co., SC. 27 Sep 1832 where he signed a receipt for his share of the Estate of Artemas P. Waldrop, his nephew.

1835 --- On 19 June, 1835, Samuel Waldrop signed for David's wife for his remaining share of the Estate of Artemas P. Waldrop.

One record names David as David Solomon... Gave consent for daughter Sally to marry Richard Emberton in Barren Co., KY. Lived in Newberry Co., SC., Barren Co., KY. and Monroe Co., KY.

He was married to Nancy DAVENPORT (daughter of Francis DAVENPORT [problem] and Ann WILEY) about 1800 in Newberry Co., S.C.. Nancy DAVENPORT was born about 1755. She died after 1835 in Monroe Co., KY.. 18th day of August 1795 Francis Davenport Sr. gives to his daughter Nancy Waldrop a slave.

He was married to Mary PITTS about 1788 in Newberry Co., S.C.. Mary PITTS was born about 1765. She died about 1800 in Newberry Co., S.C.. David WALDROP I and Mary PITTS had the following children:

25 ii. David WALDROP II was born about 1791 in Newberry Co., S.C..
+26 iii. Mary "Polly" WALDROP.
