Will of Joshua Pitts -- son of Abner -- NAMES Abraham Waldrop as Uncle
In the name of God Amen I Joshua Pitts being of Sound and Disposeing
mind and memorey but weake of body and Calling to mind the uncertainty
of life and being desirous to dispose of all Such Worldly Estate as it
hath Pleased God to bless me with do make and ordain this my Last Will
in the manner following that is to Say.
It is my will and desir that my Beloving Wife Matilda Pitts Shall have
the hold of my Estate real and Personally for the Purpose of Schooling
and Closing of my Children during her life or widerhood at her marriage
or death I wish the hole of my Estate to be sold and Eauatibley devied
between my beloved wife Matilda Pitts and my three Children Delton,
Pinckney and the younger one not named.
My Will is that my Exetors have the power to dispose of this Place and a
negrow Gearl Cold bett and a negrow woman named Jin for the purpose of
getting a nother place for my family and two plow boys If there should
be Soy much money left from the Sale of my Land and negrows a boved
named as I think this Place not helthy, and a Place of less value would
do them and the tittle of the Place that they may So Perchu and the
Negrows to be considred as apart of my Estate.
And lastly I do Constitute and Appoint my beloving uncle Abraham
Waldrope and my beloving Brother Caleb Pitts my Executors of this my
Last Wil and testament hereby revoking all other and former Wills and
testaments by me heretoford Made In testimoney Whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and affixed my seal this fourth February Annodiminy 1825.
