56. Nancy WALDROP was born about 1815 in Newberry Co., S.C.. She died about 1881 in Clayton Co., GA.. Daughter of Isaac and Jeanne Waldrop.

She was married to Simeon Newton Johnson WALDROP (son of Solomon WALDROP and Sarah Jane AULTOM) about 1834 in GA.. Simeon Newton Johnson WALDROP was born in 1812 in Jasper Co., GA.. He died after 1881 in Clayton Co., GA.. 1850 Census Monroe Co., GA., Family #1093.
Simeon and Nancy were first cousins. Their fathers, Solomon and Isaac were brothers.--jd

Some have said Simeon was first married to a Sally Waldrop; However, I have found no evidence of this marriage or of any issue from it. Neither have any researchers whom I have contacted. If such evidence surfaces, Sally can be added, but for now I am deleting her name as Simeon's first wife.--Jan Dawson, 10/99
