Served in North Carolina until unit was consolidated into Company G, 8th Georgia Cavalry, Dearing's Brigade, Hampton's Corps, in VA. Captured while serving as a courier, February 18, 1865, near Greensboro, NC. Sent to Military Prison Camp, Hamilton, VA., then forwarded to Point Lookout, MD. Released on oath of allegiance, June 22, 1865. Parole shows 5'7" tall, blue eyes, light hair, fair complexion. C.S.A.
