She said "No, Please don't - No", (you couldn't let it go) "No - I don't want to - No", (you had to push her though) And now you say it's in the past, A teenage slip you pushed too fast But what you did was steal her thunder, she's so scared and it's no wonder You can't blame the drink or drugs, the way she led you on You left her scarred you went too far, and what you did was wrong so wrong She said "No, Please don't - No", (you couldn't it go) "No - I don't want to - No", (you had to push her though) Hide behind your lame excuses, twisting words for different uses What you've done there's no escape, the only word I know is rape How I wish that you could feel a fraction of her pain You laugh it off as youth gone wild, and think she feels the same But she can't let nobody close, you stole her trust as well And if I could I'd steal it back, but I guess time alone will tell - She said "No, Please don't - No", (you couldn't let it go) "No - I don't want to - No", (you had to push her though) She said "No, Please don't - No", (it should be good enough) "No" - and she meant it, "No" (it wasn't good enough "No" - it should be good enough "No" - it should be good enough | This is about a photograph of a group of my friends at a teenage party that I only had good memories of. I found out years later, that one of the guys and one of the girls who were a fairly steady item had an entirely different recollection of the evening. Apparently, he raped her, "date rape" in as much as they were a couple. He tried to pass the whole thing off as a laugh, but she was seriously damaged by the whole incident and not surprisingly still is to this day. |
