2.Starcraft
- Brood War - PC
The Expansion Brood War enchants the game
and makes it even funnier. Protoss still has the
advantage with their damn psionic storm and
gained a lot in disruption web too. My
sollution is this: make psi storm cost 200,
hallucination less (100 perhaps) and dis.web
150. Protoss would be rather strong even
without templars at all but with psi storm they
have this huge advantage against especially
Zerg. The now very cool upgraded Ultralisks
can stand some of it though.
3.Half-life
- PC
The best doom'em up since holy mother Quake.
Worthy of bringing the genre forward together with
perhaps Unreal. We'll see if Quake3Arena (Q3A) can
carry on after the, in my eyes, failure of Quake 2...
1. Diablo
II - PC
Everybody knows what Diablo 1 is and those
not being to uninformed
knows what happened to the internet part of
it.. If Blizzard makes part 2
harder to cheat in it could be really cool
I think (5 characters, 4 towns,
different dungeons etc.). Said to be out mid
99 (better remember how
good Blizzard is with release dates!!).
2.Might
& Magic 7 - PC
Part 6 was a great game (many others obviously
think
so too according to its second position on
the world charts).
It is a rpg in first perspective a'la doom.
And at least part 6
was BIG! They talked about 300+ hours of playing
time and
that cant be too wrong. Well well.. we probably
need to wait for
part 7 a while.. until then we can play HoMM3
:)
3.Command
& Conquerer - Tiberian Sun - PC
I know very very many of you people awaits
this game very very much...
I am a bit more on the doubting side though..
Even if I am very very likely gonna buy
this game myself too. Why am I that
then? Well there is just one title to answer that.
The worst game to ever share a name of
a true classic hit like the original C&C....
RED ALERT! The game which made me turn in
disgust. Im not gonna go into
why it sux so bad, like the glue speed and
feeling of building with Duplo© or
the online version making the glue become
rock hard and the boooring
architecture... But I DO have hope for Tiberium
Sun and I do pray every
night for it to erase the very very dark spot
Red Alert made on
Westwoods reputation in my eyes... (oh ok
I am not actually praying but..).
4.Quake
3 Arena - PC
Can't think of anyone with the slightest knowledge
of the gaming world that not heard about it. I
haven't played any version of it yet and in
my eyes it could come out as anything
ranging from shit to god.
5.Perfect
Dark - N64
The true sequel of Goldeneye (another company
than Rare makes a game with the title Tomorrow
Never Dies). Goldeneye is the longest
lasting
and together with Mario & Zelda the best
game
for Nintendo 64 in both mine and the general
publics opinion. Something said about the
sequel
is that it is much better looking than the
prequel
(ofcourse) and that it features a female as
the
playing star. Hmm.. wonder what graphics the
PC's can perform by the time this game comes
out.. Probably it will be like when you played
NES after playing SNES... but hey graphics
isn't all.. right? :)
6.Castlevania
64 - N64
Konami's series about the Belmont family always
been one
of my favorites. The atmosphere is great and
it is helped much
by the wonderful music.
And last...
Why ain´t there no Mac games here? Because
there are none ofcourse! (ok there is but just about 5 years after every
other system release..kind´a)... And what about SEGA then? BAH!..they
just suck.. and their Dreamcast (128 bit) will suck to.. ;)
Sony and their PSX have to excuse my economy....
