I saw Halloween in the theatre! SCARY!!!!So I thought of doing a homepage on HALLOWEEN! I found out however that there are many Halloween(the movie Homepages in cyberspace and most 'PRETTY DARN GOOD!!!' So I decided to take a different approach and post a page on the movie(from that series) that everyone seems to dislike, hate or TOTALLY ignor!

We all know about the classic John Carpenter movie Halloween and the movies that followed the Michael Myers character!And most people agree the 3rd movie in the series which had nothing to do with first two films was a disaster that is ...UNTIL NOW!! Now I agree Halloween III was not a great film but it was different and that's what I liked about it ...it did not try to capitalize on the success of "Halloween" the way Halloween II did in such an obvious (and totally tasteless) way !I also thought that changing the entire story line was an interesting idea! Halloween III is not a masterpiece but I think true horror afficianados will find the story line original if not interesting!!

SUMMARY

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA....

A man runs on a lonely highway from a car occupied by his apparent attackers. He kills one as he runs through a junkyard to his freedom !
AN HOUR LATER....
An attendant at a gas station is watching the news about one of the stones at STONEHENGE being stolen only to be startled by the same man who just escaped his attackers! Exhausted he falls in the arms of the gas station attendent!As the attendant later says "I was always told to help someone in trouble as long as there is not going to any trouble!There's not going to be any trouble ....is there? "Of course there is !!As our good samaritan leaves the man in the hospital a loud commercial can be heard from a television with children singing to the tune of London Bridge "8 more days to Halloween Halloween Halloween Silver Shamrock! Enter our HERO Dr.Dan Challis (TOM ATKINS)! He calms the patient down after the commercial throws him into a panic.... saying THEY'RE GOING TO KILL US! ALL OF US!!As he clutches a Jack o'Lantern Halloween mask!And outside ...sure enough our remaining attacker is waiting!You can figure out the rest! It is this beginning that makes us realize... "We're not in Haddonfield anymore!" From this point we meet our next main character Ellie Grimbridge (Stacey Nelkin)who decides to find out, at all cost, what happened to her father!And this is how we find ourselves in the clutches of an entire town SANTA MIRA and its leader Conal Cochran(Dan O'Herlihy).It is from this town most of our action climaxes as we discover what Cochran,Halloween and a Mask all have in common!
