This new volumen in the complete recording of the music of the Hungarian György Ligeti holds for works of diverse chamber air, written during a very wide period of time. The older of them all are the Sechs Bagatellen für Bläserquintett which are dated in 1953, when Ligeti was still in Hungary on his teaching times, and offered the more gracious and recognizabled side of his music; from fifteen years later comes the other piece for wind quintet included on the record, the Zehn Stücke für Bläserquintett from 1968, a much more avant-garde and experimental work. At the opposite, the Trio für Violine, Horn und Klavier from 1982, it's specially interesting thanks to its peculiar timbre mixture, worked in a terrific way, while the much more actual Sonata für Viola solo gets from his solo instrument a happy mixture of the best musical details from the more mature period of his author.
