Charlie's Angels : Cameron Diaz is in final negotiations to the cast of join Charlie's Angels which Drew Barrymore will produce. Angels centers on three glamorous female detectives who work undercover. Diaz will start her next film Invisible Circus in May.

Martin Scorsese : Martin Scorsese and Nick Pileggi have signed to write a script. The story is about an Italian financier, Michele Sindona who is a truck driver but then turns out to be a leading financier. Scorsese will also co-produce the movie and possibly direct it.

Shadow of the Vampire : Willem Dafoe will star in Shadow of the Vampire with John Malkovich. The director is Elias Merhige and shooting will be in Luxembourg this month. It is about the making of Nosferatu which is a horror classic.

Galaxy Quest : Sigourney Weaver is in final negotiations to star in the movie Galaxy Quest with Tim Allen which is about a crew who are recruited by a group of aliens to save their imperiled race.The Director is Dean Parisot (Home Fries) and Alan Rickman is also possible to star.

Cameron Crowe : Writer-director Cameron Crowe has nearly completed casting his new comedy. The movie is untitled yet but the casting is full of young stars. The plot is about a young journalist who goes on the road with the band. The cast includes Kate Hudson, Billy Crudup, Jason Lee, Bijou Phillips, Anna Paquin, Noah Taylor and Fairuza Balk. Also Frances McDormand is in talks to play the mother of the journalist.

The Mexican : Kevin Reynolds and producer Lawrence Bender teamed for a new action comedy The Mexican.The script by J.H. Wyman and it is about a mob whose last job is traveling to Mexico and find a cursed antique pistol. The 10 million budgeted film begins shooing this summer.

Suicide Club : Jonathan Pryce (Brazil) will star in Suicide Club. The film is about a suicidal young man in the 19th century who belongs to a club that holds a lottery once a month whereby two names are drawn: one to be killed and another to perform the deed. After falling in love with one of the club's members, the young man is selected to be the killer but to the couple's horror, they discover she is the one picked to die. 

The Catcher Was a Spy : George Clooney is in final talks to star in and produce The Catcher Was a Spy which is a baseball spy thriller based on the true life of Morris "Moe'' Berg.

The Silence of the Lambs Sequel : Thomas Harris (The Silence of the Lambs) completed his novel sequel toThe Silence of the Lambs centers on the unusual relationship between Lecter and FBI agent Clarice Starling. Most of the studios want to win screen rights but because of a complex chain of events, it appears that Universal will have first bite at the sequel.

Down to You : Selma Blair (Cruel Intentions) will join tha cast of Down to You. She joins Freddie Prinze Jr. (She's All That), Julia Stiles (10 Things I Hate About You) and Shawn Hatosy (The Faculty). She will play an MIT grad student turned porn star.

Birthday Girl : Nicole Kidman is in final negotiations to play a Russian mail-order bride star in Birthday Girl. Jez Butterworth (Mojo) will direct the movie from a script he co-write with his brother Tom. The shooting will begin at the end of May in Australia.

Pollock : Ed Harris will direct his debut movie Pollock. He will also play the title role with Marcia Gay Hayden and co-produce the movie which is about abstract painter Jackson Pollock off the canvas. Harris who has been waiting for his dream project for six years will start shooting on April 19th.

Cord : Vincent Gallo will co-star with Jennifer Tilly and Daryl Hannah in the thriller Cord for Trimark Pictures. Tilly and Gallo play a baby-seeking couple who kidnap a pregnant woman (Hannah) in hopes of stealing and raising her child. . Director Sidney Furie began shooting this month in Canada. The script by Yas Takata and Joel Hladecek.

Box Office: Exhibitor Relations Co. Inc. has released the March 26-28 weekend box office numbers and according to that Forces of Nature held at No:1 with 9.4 million. Analyze This came second with 8.6 and Ed Tv is next with 8.4 million dollars gross.
