Rupert EverettUnconditional Love : Rupert Everett is in final talks to star with Kathy Bates in the comic thriller Unconditional Love. Director P. J. Hogan and Everett are teaming again after My Best Friend’s Wedding. The script by Hogan and his wife Jocelyn Moorehouse.

One Night at McCool's : Matt Dillon will star opposite Liv Tyler in One Night at McCool's. The movie is directed by Harald Zwart and it is about the sexy tale of different men's recollections of the same young woman (Tyler). Allison Segan and Michael Douglas, who will also appear in the film as a hit man, will produce the film.

The Crew : Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix) is in talks to take the female lead with Richard Dreyfuss and Burt Reynolds in the comedy The Crew. The movie is about a group of retired goodfellas in Miami who try to regain their neighborhood. But their plan to use a murdered man's body to scare off the competition backfires when their corpse's son mistakenly targets them. Moss would play a police detective investigating the crime and who uncovers some interesting connections. The director is Michael Dinner and the script by Barry Fanaro.

Lord of The Rings : The Sunday Star Times is reporting that the official casting announcements for Lord of the Rings trilogy could happen very soon. It also mentions rumors of Keanu Reeves, Danny DeVito and Anthony Hopkins. It is said that Hopkins' agent reveals that the actor hasn’t seen a script yet, but "that's not to say he's not interested."

Star Wars: Episode 2 : It looks Jar Jar is coming back in Episode 2. Cinescape reports that during last night's Fox special on ILM, George Lucas revealed that controversial character, whose story arc seemed to be wrapped up in Episode One, will probably return for the prequel sequel.

The Astronaut's Wife : Johnny Depp and Charlize Theron starrer film is about an astronaut (Depp) who immediately retires after a mysterious mission into space leaves him changed, and these turns of events send his wife (Theron) into a spiralling chain of chilling events.....Get Quicktime 4 for new trailers.

Humphrey BogartHollywood's 50 Greatest Stars : The American Film Institute named Hollywood's 50 Greatest Stars. Humphrey Bogart was No. 1 on the list of the 25 greatest male stars, followed by Cary Grant, James Stewart, Marlon Brando, Fred Astaire, Henry Fonda, Clark Gable, James Cagney, Spencer Tracy and Charles Chaplin in 10th place. Katharine Hepburn was No.1 and Bette Davis was second on the list of female stars, followed by Audrey Hepburn, Ingrid Bergman, Greta Garbo, Marilyn Monroe in sixth place, Elizabeth Taylor, Judy Garland, Marlene Dietrich and Joan Crawford in 10th.

X-Men : Dougray Scott has finally signed for X-Men. In the Bryan Singer movie he is taking the important role of the feral mutant Wolverine. And also Scott’s contract is said to have a sequel option if a sequel is to be made. Search our news database for more cast news about this movie.

Animal Factory : Edward Furlong will star in Steve Buscemi's Animal Factory. Furlong will play a law student wrongly accused and imprisoned on drug trafficking charges. When he goes to jail he teams up with veteran prisoner Willem Dafoe, who teaches him how to survive.

Tom Hanks Tom Hanks is most bankable :135 unidentified international film executives conducted by the Hollywood Reporter newspaper rated a star's power to guarantee a film financing and distribution deals and Tom Hanks scored a perfect 100. Mel Gibson, second with a 99.44, and Tom Cruise, third-ranked at 99.05. Harrison Ford was fourth at 98.69, Jim Carrey fifth at 97.22, Leonardo DiCaprio sixth at 96.85 and John Travolta seventh at 94.74. Julia Roberts (the only woman in top ten) with 94.63 follwed by Robin Williams, ninth with 94.44,Brad Pitt, 10th with 94.22. The three other woman in top 20 are Meg Ryan in 16th place, Jodie Foster in 18th and Sandra Bullock in 20th.

Episode 2 : Daily Variety reports that, George Lucas may be unable to shoot the second episode of Star Wars entirely on high-definition digital video. It is said that the high costs of the new, untested digital TV cameras may result in certain scenes having to be filmed with conventional equipment.

Fight Club : You've been waiting for it, now you got it. David Finchers' new thriller's trailer is available now. The pic stars Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and Helena Bonham Carter. The film is about two young men (Pitt, Norton). They start a secret club that gives young urban professionals the chance to beat the living crap out of each other. Brokedown Palace : Claire Danes, Kate Beckinsale, Bill Pullman and Lou Diamond Phillips stars in the pic which is about two girls (Danes, Beckinsale) on a vacationing in Bangkok, Thailand. They become involved with a frightening turn of events that ends up with them being tried for drug trafficking (defended by Pullman as their attorney). Befriended by an Australian hunk, the girls are set up as drug dealers, and from there things get really bad. Their misfortunes send these two high school friends through a blur of mistrust, scheming, and horrible prison life.... Jonathan Kaplan directed the film. Get Quicktime 4 for new trailers.

Mission To Mars : Connie Nielsen has replaced Monica Potter as the female lead in Mission to Mars. The space adventure that begins shooting in July will be directed by the Brian DePalma. The other cast includes Gary Sinise, Tim Robbins, Don Cheadle and Jerry O'Connell. Nielsen will play an astronaut who is part of the first manned mission to Mars, which gets stranded.

Box Office Challange : The final box office figure for the June 11-13 weekend are released and according to that Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me got a huge $54.9 million and came first. The Phantom Menace came second with $25.6 and Notting Hill third with $11.2 million. Instinct is fourth with $6.8 and The Mummy is fifth with $5.4 million dollars.

Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me : With a studio-estimated $54.7 million debut, the film became the third highest three-day opening of all time. The movie also achieved an incredible success of becoming the first sequel ever to gross more in its initial weekend than its predecessor did during its entire theatrical life. The original movie grossed $53.9 million in total domestically. The Phantom Menace took $25.4 million this weekend and $296.7 million in total.

Scream 3 : According to the Hollywood Reporter screenwriter Kevin Williamson was too busy with other projects, so he dropped out and Dimension hired Ehren Kruger (Arlington Road) to finish the script. Also Courteney Cox and David Arquette married on Saturday in San Francisco.

The Shipping News : Variety's Michael Fleming reports that John Travolta has quietly exited the project of an adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Annie L. Proulx novel named The Shipping News. Billy Bob Thornton is being courted aggressively to star in and direct the film.

Deep Blue Sea : The official site has relased trailer for this thriller about huge sharks which stars Samuel L. Jackson and directed by Renny Harlin. Get Quicktime 4 for new trailers.

Where The Heart Is : Stockard Channing has signed to star in Where the Heart is which also stars Natalie Portman and Ashley Judd. The movie will be directed by Matt Williams and the script is an adaptation of Billie Letts’s bestseller.

50 Greatest Movie Stars : The American Film Institute will name the 50 greatest American movie stars of the century next Tuesday. The final list was chosen by a vote of more than 1,800 film experts, historians, critics and industry figures The nominees are stars whose careers began in or before 1950 - the year when such screen greats as Marlon Brando, Sophia Loren and Sidney Poitier made their movie debuts - or stars whose death left a completed body of work, like James Dean and Grace Kelly.
