The Best of Times

Haunted by 13-year-old memories of his football days, Jack Dundee (Robin Williams) remembers the day... he dropped the ball. It wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't against the Rocket's biggest rivals from Bakersfield, and if it wasn't the last play of the game that they finally had an opportunity to win. But as luck would have it, he was butterfingers, and till this day is remembered not so fondly as the man who dropped the ball.

Now tired of the never-ending humiliation, Jack arranges for the teams to replay a piece of history and once again face off on the gridiron. However, left with little more than a group of middle- aged men who haven't seen a football except for on TV for the last decade, Jack and good friend Reno Hightower (Kurt Russell), the once star quarterback, work against the odds to save the reputation of the small town they call home.

A charming comedy, it cries out ‘80s with some great music and not so great clothing and hair. Beyond that, a wonderful story, it comes alive with the great performances of Williams and Russell.
