Invasion of the Body Snatchers
Ever have one of those days when you just don't feel yourself? In the town of Santa Mira, California, it seems to be spreading with the recent "Invasion of the Body Snatchers."
This 1956 movie, destined to be little more than a drive-in "B" movie, was never prepared for the cult following it was about to get.
Kevin McCarthy stars as Dr. Miles Bennell returning from a medical convention to find many of the town's folk to be stricken by an odd paranoia. Each believes that friends and family are not who they really are.
When it is discovered that seeds from outer space have been growing emotionless duplicates of the towns' people, it is a race against time in order to get a warning out to the world.
The disc is double sided - single layered and contains both the widescreen and full frame pan & scan versions of the movie. The mastering is terrific but extras are few.
