Buffy Summers, along with her Watcher, Rupert Giles, help to rid the world of "vampires, demons, and the forces of darkness." None of this would be possible without her best friends, Alexander (Xander) Harris and Willow Rosenburg. In the beginning of the second season, they also had Miss Jennifer Calendar and Angel, a vampire with a soul. Cordelia Chase was sort of there, but not totally helpful. By the end of the second season, Angel had become a bad vampire again, but in the season finale his soul was returned. Unfortunately, due to difficult circumstances, Buffy was forced to kill Angel. Miss Calendar had been killed earlier in the season. Cordelia had become a big part of the group, and was dating Xander.
