There are many other reasons I'm an Arielholic, like the music. How many times have you watched the movie and been humming "Unda da sea" the rest of the day? You should all be raising your hands, the song is addicting!!!
The most bizarre reason I'm a huge fan is because of Ursula. 
The Sea Witch is a wondeful villain, she's scary, sarcastic, and even funny. Ask yourself, could Malicifent pull off the line, "Banished, exiled and practically starving..." and still be scary? I didn't think so either.
The last but not least reason I love the movie is because of Eric, he's just a good-looking cartoon.
