Rick released his first solo album, Beginnings, in 1972. The following year, he released Comic Book Heroes. Soon came Mission Magic, an album from his ABC cartoon of the same title. Rick finally got his big break in 1980, with the release of Working Class Dog. From this album came his Grammy Award winning hit "Jessie's Girl". 1982 brought us Success Hasn't Spoiled Me Yet, which featured the ever so famous single "Don't Talk to Strangers". From 1983 to 1985, Rick released three more albums: Living in Oz, the soundtrack from his movie Hard to Hold, and Tao. After a 3 year break, his next album, Rock of Life, was released in 1988. It seemed at this point that Rick's music career was beginning to slip, but if you ask his fans, many agree that Rock of Life was his best album.
Rick has also had quite an extensive career in acting as well. He has been most commonly known as "Dr. Noah Drake" on General Hospital, and how could we forget about his movie "Hard to Hold". He has appeared on the Incredible Hulk, Wonder Woman, The Rockford Files, Six Million Dollar Man, and had his own series called High Tide. Most recently he held a guest spot on NBC's Suddenly Susan.
On April 13th 1999, Better know to Rick's most dedicated fans as "Karma Day", Rick released his 1st album in over 10 years named "Karma". It was a long but well worth wait for his fans.
