Quirky entry grinds the gears frequently. John Lithgow, however, is magnificent as
an alien commander in human form leading a trio of aliens into a sketchy experiment
whose aims are as transparent as the blokes under his command. Loopy show can't quite
touch ALF for warmth or atmosphere. I'll give it another year.
