Carly is dancing with her back to Jason. Jason sips his beer and looks Carly up and down. She
walks over to the bar and sits down next to Jason.
Carly: (to the bartender) "Can I have a beer please?" (she reaches in front of Jason to get a pretzel or a peanut, then looks at him. The guy who was watching her before walks over to her)
Guy: "I'm Jeff."
Carly: (very cheery) "Hello."
Jeff: "Are you with someone?"
Carly: (looks at Jason) "No."
Jeff: "Waiting for someone?"
Carly: (smiles) "No."
Jeff: "Wanna dance?"
Carly: "Why not?" (she gets up, looks at Jason and they walk over to dance. Jason turns around and watches them. sips his beer)
Jeff: "I really like this place."
Carly: (smiles) "Yeah. It's okay."
Jeff: "I come here a lot."
Carly: "You do?"
Jeff: (spins her around, then pulls her close) "Yeah. It helps get me mellow after a long miserable day at work." (Jason watches them) "Shoot some pool, grab a few brews.....no pressure. This is your first time isn't it?"
Carly: (spins herself around) "How'd you know?"
Jeff: "A face like yours? I would've remembered." (Carly laughs) "I'm right, aren't I?"
Carly: "Yep."
Jeff: "Be careful. It's easy to become a regular."
(Jason keeps watching, sips his beer) "I mean, I'd quit my day job like that if I could get Jake to pay me for hanging around here."
Carly: "Nice work if you can get it I suppose." (looks over Jeff's shoulder at Jason)
Jeff: (laughs) "I wasn't serious. I like what I do. I'm an air traffic controller. At the PC airport?"
Carly: "Yeah?"
Jeff: "Not that working at the PC airport is like
working at O'Hare or Kennedy but....ah....it's still a beating." (Jason looks away for a few seconds, then looks back again)
Carly: "Sure."
Jeff: "So ahhhh.....what do you do?"
Carly: "Ohhhh.....I'm....." (spins him around)".....a model."
Jeff: "I guess that doesn't surprise me. Must be a glamourous life."
Carly: "Yeah."
Jeff: "You're not one to...." [editor's note: can't make out what Jeff says here](Jason watching)
Carly: (laughs) "Not really."
Jeff: "Do you have a boyfriend?"
Carly: "Nope." (smiles) "Don't want one."
Jeff: (laughs) "Why is that?"
Carly: "They demand too much time." (looks over at Jason) "Too much attention. You know? I got better things to do." (she laughs)
Jason gets up and walks over to the pool table. He looks at her and takes off his jacket. Carly keeps dancing with Jeff, but keeps looking at Jason. He leans over to take a shot, while watching Carly)

Carly is sitting at the bar watching Jason play pool. He looks over at her and sort of smiles. She lifts her glass to say "hi". He leans down and takes another shot. Carly is smiling. He looks over at her between every shot. Carly
walks over to the pool table, lightly grazes his arm with her shoulder and sits on the table.
Carly: "Is this um....a private game? Or can anyone play?"
Jason: (looks at her and chalks his pool stick) "It's your quarter."
Carly: (walks over and grabs a pool stick) "Do you wanna break?"
Jason: (smirking) "No, no. You go ahead."
Carly: "I don't take favors. Why don't we lag for it?" (Jason leans over and whispers in her ear. She smiles and shoots. She sees where the ball ended up and smiles again) "You wanna concede?"
(Jason smiles and takes his shot, which is better than hers) "Nice."
Jason: "Thanks." (pauses and smiles) "Rack 'em."
The scene goes to slow motion. Carly is leaning over Jason as he is taking a shot. He walks closely behind her and they smile. Jason leans up against the wall and watches her. He takes a sip of beer. Carly blows the chalk off of her pool stick, looks at Jason and smiles. He smiles back. He takes a shot and Carly leans down over him and whispers in his ear. They look at each other, and Carly takes a shot.
Carly: (smiling) You don't have much to say, do you?"
Jason: "Neither do you." (Carly looks down)

Carly: "How about one more game?"
Jason: (turns around and then bak to Carly) "How about another time? I have a date with the sunrise. (he hands her his pool stick, grabs his coat and leaves. Carly looks disappointed. Jeff walks over to her)
Jeff: "Feel like another dance?"
Carly: (smiles) "I don't think so."
