CHAPTER 5 - CONFRONTATIONS....

Rachel lay in the bed looking totally bedraggled. "Rachel, whats wrong you look ter....I mean terrific today!" Amrit always knew the wrong thing to say, she never thought before she spoke. "Yeah right!" Said Rachel defiantly. "Go ahead say what you really think, I don't want visitors so go away okay!" "Okay!" Amrit thought, "Rachel never said okay!" Justin sighed and stood back giving Amrit a strange look as if to say, how about we just leave it for now. "No Justin, we are not going, Rachel get a grip, what happened to friendly, happy Rachel? All I see now is Miss Grumpy, never wanting to do anything but run, never wanting to see anyone. You don't even go out anymore or on the internet. Whats wrong with you, get a grip girlie!" Rachel looked shocked. Amrit never yelled at anyone appart from when she was joking around which was most of the time. "Lets go now Justin!" Amrit said angrily. Rachel watched them walk out, Amrit was very angry. "Wait, Amrit, Justin, I'm sorry!" She whimpered after them softly. They turned around quickly. They sat and chatted fo ages, finally Rachel was regaining her usual happy composure and actually opening up, she was ont eh right track, the track to recovery.

"So whats with you and Justin?" Scott confronted Amrit as she walked up the schoold riveway and into school on Friday morning. He looked angry and Amrit wondered what he was on about. "What Scottie?!" "Justin, Justin Timberlake I know you were with him." Amrit frowned, she couldn't believe this. Why did he care anyway? "So what? Rachel was hey wait I don't have to explain myself to YOU!" Amrit said angrily. How dare he ask her what she was doing in her private life?! Especially since she was innocent in this case. "So Ritchie is my best friend and he....Ritchie hi!" Amrit turned to Ritchie and gave him a hug. Scott of all people was giving her a lecture on cheating on people. He was the one who wanted to ask Loz out when he was already with Maggie and knew she was about to or already going out with Ryan. Besides it wasn't true, Just and Amrit were great friends and that was were it ended, she as all for Scott and he was all for Rach. Both had been let down and had talked about their hopeful people all the time on more than one occassion. Besides Amrit and Ritchie weren't exactly going out or an item. They had made that mutual decision the other night. Ritchie was interested in another girl Amrit could see and they wren't meant to be a couple, they were just great friends too. "Whats going on guys?!" Ritchie said worriedly sensing the tension. "Hiya Ritchie Brain buddy!" Amrit said smiling. "Were you fighting?!" Ritchie asked walkign down the corridor next to Amrit. Amrit shook her head. "No of course not! So what are you doing this evening?" Amrit said quickly changing the subject. "You sure, come on," Seeing Amrit's expression, he could tell she was distant and wans't about to spill anymore about what her and Scott had been talking about and what had made them so angry. "I'm going to TOTP and I have some spare tickets, want to come Amrit? Amrit? Are you there Amrit?" Ritchie said putting his hand infront of her face and waving them about. "Oh what, yeah, what?" " T O P O F T H E P O P S D O Y O U W A N T T O C O M E ?" Amrit looked at his unimpressed the hit him. "no not anymore Ritchie!" She snapped. "Sorry, please come and bring Lozzy if sahe wants to come or anyone really maybe Justin or something?!" Amrit looked annoyed and was fuming. Scott had told Ritchie. "I can't believe you two! Scott = total jerk!" "What, what did Scott do, whats wrong?!" Oh no she didn't know did she? Ritchie's mind raced, she wasn't thinking he was rejecting her? He wasn't but they ahd agreed that they wouldn't go out go out. "You know full well, he'll do anything to get me in your bad books, I don't know what his problem is." Amrit yelled walking quickly away to her locker and then to class from there leaving Ritchie standing alone in the corridor with no idea what was going on. "She dumped you, I can't believe her." Scott said putting his arm around Ritchie. Ritchie pulled away suddenly. "What did you say to her? Why have you been mean to her? I can't believe you. I don't know what your problem is Scott Robinson." Ritchie walked away too now quickly and angrily. She put him against me. Scott thought in annoyance.

"So I'm sorry for running off on you before Ritchie Brain." Amrit said pulling a sad face and sitting next to him on his lunch bench. "Its okies sweet pea." Ritchie smiled passing her a pink jellybaby, her favourite. "Baby Booty! Thanks Ritchie Brain." "So about TOTP, do you want to come?" "Yeah and Loz will too, if shes over the ' I'll do it mysel, I want to do my own thing' attitude." Amrit said with a smile. They both laughed loudly. "Are you talking about me?" Loz said angrily looking over at them from a metre away. Amrit noticed a shadow hanging over her. "Hi Loz, we were talking about Scott actually." Amrit said her smile dropping. "Weren't we Ritchie, gosh is he being a pain n....hi Scottie." Amrit had really put her foot in it again. "Well I guess we are not wanted here." Loz said angrily and walked away. Scott followed giving them both an unimpressed look. "Loz." Amrit called out quickly. "Scott." Ritchie added quickly too. They kept walking and continued to look annoyed. Amrit and Ritchie looked at each other guiltily.

Jemma ate the last of the breakfast Sean had made for her. She had an early start and Sean had also had an early start so he had decided to treat her to an early breakfast. "Well I had better go now Sean. I really enjoyed last night, going out and all and thanks for the breakfast and waking me up this morning." "Well you'd better jet Jemm before you get late and my waking you up does you no good." Jemma smiled taking a last bite of raisin toast. "Ta! Bye bye Seanie baby!"

"Oh dear Ritchie you are worse than me you really are a Ditz, you have tickets for next week. Thats coolies we can go next week then. Okies bye for now." Amrit put the phone down. It was better that way anyway because she hadn't asked Lozzy and knew she would probably refuse anyway. Now what was she going to do, Amrit thought picking up the nearby Grapevine. She did the quiz, Are you Miss/Mr Bossy? Okies well maybe she didn't need to do it, she already knew what the answer would be. She continued to flick through the pages aimlessly not reading anything. She came to a page full of pictures. There was one with her and Scott. They were doing their very popular and brilliant Barbie Girl performance. It had such a success, it had been great. Wicked as Scott said. Oh, Amrit thought, why was he such a jerk to her, she liked him so much, couldn't he see it? Why? Anyway maybe it was good that he didn't realise, it would just give him a bigger head and she'd just get dumped like every other girl he had dated. Who exactly had he dated though? Who exactly had he dumped? He was so cute and yet he and Ritchie who was also so cute had never had that many girlfriends.

Loz was fuming, Ryan had gone to the party without her, gotten into a fight and had then expected her to feel sorry for him. What a cheek she thought angrily. There was Amrit sitting laughing with Ritchie again. Probably about her again. Amrit hadn't even bothered calling her about the TOTP thing after all that. Well fine then she could have her stupid TOTP and she could have Ritchie because Loz no longer felt like she was Amrit's best friend. She wanted to be but she could see Amrit had moved on. She wanted everything back the way it had been the way it used to be. Suddenly Loz was bought out of her own whirlpool of though back to reality by a tap on her shoulder. "I'm sorry Loz, we didn't mean to upset you...." Loz smiled, she felt a little better now.

"So what do you think of my idea Ritchie?" "Great I think but I'm not sure whether they are really meshing right now. mean if you had asked me a while back then I would have said yes they are perfect....yes Scott needs a great girlie, I think they are still perfect, perfect together." Ritchie was rambling on. He was a little overcome by who he was having a conversation with. A proper conversation now.

"I think we need some more air in our hair today girlies." Justin cried fuzzing up Rachel's hair then moving on to Amrit's. Rachel got up and headed straight for the toilets to fix her hair up again. "Don't be silly Woody." Amrit yelped as Justin continued to frizz her hair even more than it usually was. She leaned back in her chair and it tilted too far. Just stumbled back and grabbed the chair before she fell to the ground. "You silly silly girlie." "You silly silly boy." Scott walked up the corridor listening to the entire incident. He gazed into the room and at Amrit meanly. Justin suddenly stopped and looked at Scott guiltily even though he had ntohing to be guilty about. The expression on Scott's face made him feel guilty. Scott stormed out and away. Amrit got up slowly and gurdgingly. "I'd better go talk toh im before he gets the wrong idea in his head yet again. Be right back babes." Amrit yelled running out of the door. "So hi Scott....I guess you are thinking I'm cheating on Ritchie again. Right? Well I'm not, firstly there is nothing between any of us, Justin and I or Ritchie and I, we are just friends, secondly its none of your business. I mean what about you, you were interested in Loz even when you were still dating Maggie and you knew she was about to or already dating Ryan. So don't be so hypocritical with me. I liked you before Scott but now, you are just a plain drag." With that harsh comment Amrit walked away leaving Scott stunned and not knowing what to say, totally anf utterly awestruck.

"Well it better work out this time, I think it will, they are so perfect." "so you've said like ten times!" Maggie cried out eavesdropping on their conversation. "Ooh I'm so excited, it going to work out and all while we are jiving and bopping to B*Witched!" "Hey Loz, what are you doing tonight?" Ryan asked walkign up and sitting bang next to Loz putting his arm around her and wrapping the other one around her too. "Um I'm going out tonight already Ryan." "Oh...." "TOTP with um Amrit and Ritchie and Scottie." "Seems pretty sus to me, can we speak together in private please Loz?" Ryan looked weirdly at her. "Yeah okies, see you later Ritchie." "Yeah bye Loz have a nice day Lozzy Wozzy." Ryan gave Ritchie an evil look. Ritchie smiled back a little nervous at his attitude.

WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN AT TOTP? Loz chucked the ring Ryan had given her back at him. "This is THE ring isn't it?" Loz said angrily to Ryan. "Do I sense a little tension?" Maggie said appearing and prying into their conversation or should I say confrontation? "What ring?" Scott said who was also about in the drama room. "Oh sorry I am prying right, sorry just ignore me." Scottie added feeling a little silly all of a sudden. "Yeah you are a bit!" Ryan snapped and Loz also looked at Scottie angrily. "Sowee...." "Loz....oh its you...." "Amrit go away okay!" "Yeah get lost Amrit." "I can't believe this, go on Scott say it too...." "I have to go." Scott headed out of the doorway clutching his folder and bag tight. Amrit looked around the room not knowing what to do or say. Then she noticed Scott's wallet all of a sudden. "Scott, you forgot....oh who cares let him find it the jerk, well fien you guys don't want me around I'll go, I am sick of everyone today...." "Everyone?!" Came Ritchie's voice loud and clear. "Not you Ritchie Brain." Amrit said affectionately reaching to rub his head and hair. He backed away quickly. "Not the hair Amrit." Loz and Ryan sighed then Loz picked uo her folder and stormed out. She brushed past the two at the doorway with little regard harshly and roughly. "Well fine then Loz. I don't care, if yoy don't want to be friends anymore thats fine with me." Amrit yelled, now she was annoyed. Ritchie put his arm around her. "Calm down Amrit, i don't think its anything to do with you." "Its evertything to do with me I don't care anyway, Loz, Scott, Ryan and Maggie and whoever else in the school can ahte me all they like, I don't care at all!"
