"Just wait till your master gets home!" Mace Windu said quietly to Obi-Wan. "You may have been 16 last week, but that does not give you the liberty to go out after curfew without your master's permission."

Obi-Wan looked down, he hadn't meant to stay out that long, and that dancing in the fountain lark was just too tempting.

"Hey!" The girl standing next to Obi-Wan folded her arms defiantly in front of her, staring the elder Jedi straight in the eye. "He's not a kid anymore."

"Perhaps you'd better go home Isona," Mace turned to her, "Unless you want your father to hear about this."

Isona grinned wickedly, "Tell him. See if I care." She flicked a stray hair out of her face. "No Jedi can scare me with such feeble threats."

Obi-Wan rolled his eyes, there wasn't a planet large enough to contain her ego. He had first met Isona at one of the senate functions, her father was the senator for the business sector of Coruscant. She was just as willful as her father was, if not more. A sharp eye for business, she never let an opportunity pass her by. In this situation, he thought it was best to keep quiet. Obviously Isona had other ideas. "Perhaps you'd like to explain this to Master Jinn when he returns, Isona." Mace's eyes narrowed.

"Actually, that doesn't sound like a bad idea." Isona said, standing up, she pulled her fiery orange cloak over her shoulders. "Tomorrow, see ya then." she grinned, ruffling Obi-Wan's hair. She strode confidently out of the Jedi Temple, climbing on her speeder, she gunned the engines and sped in the direction of the senate.

Mace turned back to Obi-Wan, "I don't approve of your choice of friends at all."

Obi-wan hid a snigger, Qui-Gon was going to have fun attempting to reason with Isona. No-one had managed to win in an argument against her yet. To call her headstrong was an understatement. "I'm sorry master. It won't happen again." he said calmly.

"I know it won't. I'm personally going to make sure it doesn't." Mace said walking down the hallway.

Obi-Wan breathed an inward sigh of relief, that didn't sound too bad, it could have been ten times worse. Walking to the apartment he shared with his master, he found himself smiling stupidly for no apparent reason. He shut the door behind him, then sank down onto the couch, thinking over 'that' senate function Isona had taken him to the day before.

The party was winding down, Isona was a little more than slightly drunk, swaying round the room, her father had already left with the other astute investors of the galaxy for a private meeting, Isona was free to do as she wished. Qui-Gon had been away on some mission without Obi-Wan, so he had thought there was no reason why he shouldn't go out as long as he was back before curfew. "Hey, this place sucks." Isona said loudly to Obi-Wan, "Let's go someplace else." She gave him no choice to object as she pulled him out of the senate building.

"Where do you plan to go?" he asked

"Nowhere in particular." Isona vaguely gestured with her hand.

"What about my place?" Obi-Wan offered.

"I go to the Temple all the time." Isona said wrinkling her nose at the idea, "Too many Jedi in a confined area is bad for your health." she nodded

"Really?" Obi-Wan had to stop himself from laughing.

"Mmm-Hmm. Un-heal-thy." she poked Obi-wan on each syllable.

"Well it's not like you've got many other options, unless you're planning on dancing in the fountain." Obi-Wan said matter-of-factly, but immediately regretted opening his mouth, as Isona grinned evilly, and started running towards the fountain in the senate gardens. "Gods Isona! I meant it as a joke." he shouted after her.

"I'm being spontaneous." She replied, kicking off her boots and shrugging off her cloak, before standing on the ledge of the fountain.

"Isona, don't! You'll be soaking." he said jogging after her. He couldn't help but laugh as she sneered at him and jumped in, splashing about in the water, "And how old are you?" he asked sarcastically.

"Um... let me think..." Isona stopped to think about his question, "Oh... uh... 16, I think...Yup, 16." she nodded confidently. Then trudged over to the edge, where Obi-Wan was keeping a safe distance away from her. "Hey, why don't you join me?" she splashed at him, but he saw this coming, and stepped neatly to the right.

"I don't think I will thank you." he said rasing an eyebrow at her when she stuck her tongue out at him.

"Aw... please!" she whined pleadingly.

"No..." Obi-Wan searched for a convincing reply "You.. eh... look like you're having fun... I wouldn't want to... um... spoil it for you." he flashed her his most winning smile.

"It's no fun by myself." Isona pouted

"You should have thought of that before jumping in shouldn't you!" he replied smartly.

Isona shot him a death look, then said slowly emphasising each word "You are NO FUN... Bruck is more fun than YOU are." this last comment hit it's mark as Obi-Wan folded his arms across his chest.

"DO NOT compare me to HIM." he snapped

"Jealous are we??" Isona smiled sweetly, "You have the demeanor of a mouldy wet dish rag that the cleaning droid has just found behind the wave-oven."

Obi-Wan threw off his cloak, not bothering to take off his boots he jumped in, "Oh, now you're really going to regret you said that." he snarled as he attempted to run through the waist high water after the fleeing Isona. It didn't take him long to catch up with her and splatter her with a wave of water.

"Nooo!" Isona squealed, spalshing back at him. As she realised she was losing the battle she turned and tried to run away, only to be caught by a force-enhanced mini tidal wave, taking her under. As she bobbed back up, she leered at Obi-Wan lunging at him, grappling with him, and finally making him lose his footing and pushing him over, into the ice-cold water. Isona climbed out and danced along the ledge, singing a song as she went along.

"I saw a gungan,
With a yellow bill,
Sitting on my widowsill.
I coaxed him in,
With a bit of bread,
And then I threw,
A brick at his head."

Obi-wan climbed out and shot an evil look at Isona, "You're a sadist. I can't believe you sang that."

Isona stopped and put her hands on her hips, "Well if you can do any better, you're welcome to sing as well. Don't let little old me cramp your style."

"That's not funny." Obi-wan stated.

"Your problem is you're too tight. Loosen up Jedi." Isona swirled on one foot, letting the water on her clothes spray in all directions. "Let me sing another song.

"On top of a mountain, all covered in cheese, I lost my poor meatball when some wookies sneezed...." She looked at Obi-Wan "What?" she asked as she carried on belting the song out "It rolled off of the table and onto the floor, and then my poor meatball rolled out of the door. It rolled into the garden and under a bush, and then my poor meatball, was nothing but mush. Ten thousand years later, a meatball tree grew, and then my poor meatball, was back in the stew." she bowed exaggeratedly at Obi-Wan "TADA!" she said happily.

"Isona, I might point out that normal people stopped singing that when they graduated from kindergarten."

"Well, excuuuuse me, Mr Poncey Jedi, but as you may have noticed, I am most definitely not normal." Isona said as she pulled her boots back on and slung her cloak over her shoulders, "It may have slipped your observation that curfew started over 3 hours ago." Isona said lightly.

"WHAT?!?" Obi-Wan exclaimed, "I'm going to be crucified... Not only am I unexplicably late, but I'm soaking wet too. How am I supposed to explain all of this if I get caught trying to sneak inside the Temple unnoticed?"

"I dunno." Isona shrugged "Your problem, not mine."

"Oh, I don't think so somehow." Obi-Wan said sharply "You are coming with me."

"No I'm not." "OOooh, make me." Isona challenged, then thought on her last comment, "No, actually, I take that last thing back." "I AM going to make you." Obi-Wan said smugly, "Whether you object or not."

Later, Obi-Wan and Isona slipped in a side entrance of the temple, this week it was Mace Windu on Padawan night-watch duty, and he was one of the more difficult Masters to sneak past, as Obi-wan saw his shadow move down the other corridor, he pulled Isona along behind him, into the apartment he shared with Qui-Gon, hoping that Mace Windu wouldn't see the wet footprints he had left along the entire hallway. They were over 4 hours late now, Isona had insisted that he take her to her apartment first so she could get some dry clothes on. Now safe, Obi-Wan sloshed into his room and got changed, leaving his sopping wet clothes on the radiator. Isona had curled up on the couch, and was drifting off to sleep, when there was a sharp knock on the door. "Please no." Obi-Wan silently prayed "Don't let it be Master Windu."

"Obi-Wan open this door." Mace Windu said sharply from the other side of the door.

Obi-Wan cringed as he opened the door and saw a very disgruntled looking Mace Windu. "Um, hello Master Windu." Obi-Wan said weakly.

"Padawan Kenobi, I am very concerned at the fact there are wet footprints leading to your door, adding to the fact your hair is soaking wet, and you're over four hours late for curfew." Mace Windu started, making Obi-Wan shift from foot to foot nervously. "We'll talk about this in the morning."

And that was the end of it. Obi-Wan thought as he waited for his master in his apartment, he didn't have to wait long, he could sense his master talking to master Windu, just outside the door. He stood up as the door opened and Qui-Gon walked though the door, with a questioning expression on his face. "Ah, Padawan. Would you care to explain all of this?" Qui-Gon asked casually as he took a seat at the table.

"Erm, yes, I suppose I should start by apologising for my behaviour."

"Indeed, I think you should." Qui-Gon agreed sternly. Obi-Wan retold the story of what happened and when he finished he looked up at his master's face to see if he could tell if Qui-Gon was annoyed. "It seems like this Isona friend of yours is quite a character." Qui-Gon stated, evaluating Obi-Wan's explaination. "I look forward to meeting her tomorrow. Until she appears, you are to remain here where I can keep an eye on you Padawan."

Obi-Wan nodded "Yes master." he walked into his room and practically fell onto his bed in relief. No punishment at all? This wasn't Qui-Gon's usual reaction. Obi-Wan thought to himself.

The next day promptly at midday, Isona knocked on the door. Qui-Gon answered the door, "Ah, and you must be Isona?"

"Well done, Obi-Wan must have told you."

"Indeed he did, he also told me of your drunken antics two nights ago."

"You don't often find guys so honest these days." Isona said looking straight at Qui-Gon. He raised an eyebrow, now he saw what Mace meant when he said that she had an answer for everything. He let Isona in, Obi-Wan instantly brightened up when he saw her grinning.

"Would you like to explain what you were doing with my Padawan?"

"Sure" Isona shrugged, "I was teaching him to loosen up, it worked after a while and a few concise insults."

"Namely?" Qui-Gon asked amused.

"Oh, I compared him to Padawan Chun, then I called him a mouldy wet dish cloth." Isona said evenly.

"That makes sense, you don't like Padawan Chun do you, Obi-Wan." Qui-Gon turned to his Padawan, who blushed. "No, I didn't think you did."

"So, what are you going to do about it?" Isona challenged Qui-Gon.

"Nothing." Qui-Gon said calmly, expecting Obi-wan and Isona to look surprised, Obi-Wan lived up to his expectations, but Isona didn't.

"Good. I wouldn't want to think that my friend here was being unfairly punished for something I dragged him into." Isona said happily. "Well, if that's alright with your holiness, I've got an astro-navigation class to be at." she said to Qui-Gon.

"Just one thing Isona." Qui-Gon said, ushering Isona out of the door. "I appreciate your efforts to try to loosen up my serious Padawan, really I do. Next time try to do it without the water factor please."

"Sure thing." Isona mock saluted to Qui-Gon as she hailed a speeder cab.

"Feisty, isn't she." Mace appeared out of the door to talk to his friend.

"Perhaps it'll do my Padawan good." Qui-Gon said lightly.

"Ah, just you wait. You're going to have real fun when she turns up on your doorstep telling you your Padawan got her pregnant." Mace said seriously.

Qui-Gon looked visibly shocked. "I should think my Padawan would know better than to do that."

Mace nudged Qui-gon in the ribs, "I'm joking friend, I'm joking."

"I'm not. I think I'd better talk to my padawan." Qui-Gon said frowning, "You've got me thinking."

"Me and my big mouth." Mace mumbled as Qui-Gon strode up the steps, through the hallways and into his apartment. Obi-Wan looked up from his datapad.

"Obi-Wan, you and I need to have a little talk." Qui-Gon ran his hands though his hair, he had no idea how to go about this, he never got round to talking to Xanatos about it, so was unsure where to begin.

Obi-Wan must have cottoned on to what his master was going to say. "Master, don't worry, I'm not that stupid. We had 'that' talk in PSE with Master J'Ten."

Qui-Gon looked relieved. "You understand what I'm trying to say. If... if you ever... ever... feel the urge..."

"You don't want Isona turning up with little Kenobies running round the Temple." Obi-Wan finished the sentence for his master.

"Yes Padawan. I really don't want to imagine what a terror the child would be, your Jedi skills and Isona's sharp tongue." Qui-Gon frowned. "Awful combination."

Obi-Wan couldn't help but laugh. "Don't worry, I won't cause you such cause for grief."
