Welcome To My Animal Kingdom Update, With Updated pictures And facts On Disney's Newest Species Of Theme Parks!!! NOW OPENING APRIL 22, 1998!!!!!

In spring, 1998, the sun will rise. The trees will part. And Disney will open the gate to a world of adventure capturing humanity’s enduring love of animals. This is a picture of the construction of the famous 14 story tree of life, the symbol and heart of the Animal Kingdom.
THAT WAS THEN.......
THIS IS NOW...
Behold, the newly finished Tree of Life, the centerpiece of what is to become the fourth and most spectacular theme park ever built by Disney.

"Every uncharted path and trail in this fourth Walt Disney World park will lead to thrilling encounters with the real, imaginary and extinct creatures who rule here. One minute your heart will pound so loud you can hear it. The next you’ll have a smile on your face you can’t wipe away."

The adventure begins in The Oasis, a lush tropical forest flowing with waterfalls and fluttering with exotic birds. Close by, a vivid rainbow of live creatures scamper in the mist. Emerge from this breathtaking paradise, and there, rising 140 majestic feet before you, towers the awe-inspiring Tree of Life, its mighty trunk and branches cloaked in a tapestry of hand-carved animals-each more spectacular than the last. Just take a close up look at the spectacular artwork detailed into the bark of the tree itself!!!
Off in the distance you’ll discover Harambe, Africa-the last signs of civilization before Kilimanjaro Safaris whisk you off to the African Savannah. Hang on as your open-air Land Rover rambles through muddy trails and running rivers until you find yourself surrounded by real herds of free-roaming elephants, lions, zebra, giraffe and other unpredictable creatures of the wild.
For some prehistoric hysteria, bolt over to DinoLand U.S.A. As you cross under the bracchiosauraus bridge you’ll stumble across The Boneyard playground, a dino dig site where children can climb and slide and slither down huge dinosaur fossils or unearth the bones of a woolly mammoth. Then race back 65 million years in time on Countdown to Extinction, a suspense-loaded thrill ride, to the edge of disaster. Your mission: to rescue the last dinosaur, before a fiery meteor slams into the earth.

Countdown to Extinction is going to use the same technology as the extremely popular Indiana Jones Ride at Disneyland. This Promises to be THE MAJOR ATTRACTION, so plan to ride this early if you want to avoid long lines...Here are more pictures!!!

In a wooded world all their own, creatures of the cuddly kind welcome you with open paws. Snuggle up next to Mickey and your other favorite Disney characters. And every day, your furry friends from Disney’s The Lion King and Jungle Book come to life in delightful musical stage spectaculars. Finally, through the interactive fun at Conservation Station, you’ll discover how Disney cares for the creatures of this park and animals around the globe. With the fascination we all share for animals, comes a commitment to protect wildlife and wild places-our contribution in the Circle of Life.

The World is about to take a journey into the story of animals that has never been taken. Down paths as yet to be explored. This is but a glimpse of all the heart-pounding, heart-warming experiences to come. So come back, for the wildest Disney adventure yet.
