Titanic Book Reviews

I love to read, and latley I have been reading books that have to do with Titanic. (Big suprise!) I decided that it would be a nice addition to this site if I had a Titanic book reviews page. On this page, I have my reviews of the Titanic books I've read. I have only read a few so far, but I'll keep adding to this page as I read more!

James Cameron's Titanic is definitley a must- have for everyone who's seen Titanic. This is an amazing book. It takes you behind-the-scenes with wonderful pictures, information, and comments from the cast and crew. There are hundreds of pictures and lots of information in this book about the sets, the making and filming of Titanic, how they used computer graphics in lots of the scenes, costume design, creating a replica of Titanic, and so much more. Also has lots of pictures from the movie. I really enjoyed reading and looking at this book. It has everything about the movie Titanic and beyond.

A Night To Remember is the fascinating minute-by-minute story of the Titanic the night it hit the iceberg and sank. This is a true story telling about what many people were doing and thinking as Titanic was sinking. I really recommend that you read this book. It is wonderfully written and I could not put it down. I just sat and read the entire book in one night cover to cover.

SOS Titanic is a story about a 15-year-old boy anmed Barry travling first class on Titanic from Ireland to meet his parents in New York. Barry befriends many pasengers, including one man who keeps on counting lifeboats. He is supersitious and read the story about the Titan, a ship he believed was just like the Titanic. The man believes the Titanic is doomed- it will hit an iceberg and sink, like the Titan did in the book. Another person Barry meets is what I consider a, well, psychic. This man believes that the Titanic will have trouble on the sea. When the Titanic hits an iceberg, this man knows that Titanic is doomed. Barry also has problems with his enemies from back home who are traveling steerage, until he realizes he really cares for -possibly loves- their sister, Pegeen. When Titanic hits the iceberg he has a feeling that Titanic is doomed, and must travel to where the steerage passengers are being kept locked up and rescue Pegeen.
This book was good, but probably not the best one I've ever read. I mean... too many of the characters in this book felt that the Titanic would sink... even before it hit the iceberg! Come on, almost everyone thought that the Titanic was unsinkable. Well, I recommend you read this book anyway. It is very interesting, and another hard book to put down.
