in France and Belgium and in the U.K. After pocketing $11.6 million in
26 territories at the weekend, The Truman Show ascended to $75.6 million
overseas, highlighted by the U.K.'s $15.6 million, France's $7.9 million
(in 19 days), Australia's $7.2 million and Italy's $13 million. In Italy,
it has tallied $5.2 million after its second weekend, tracking 130% ahead
of Carrey's Liar Liar. The Jim Carrey comedy launched with a potent $3.5
million in four days in Germany, a solid $1.8 million in two days in Japan,
a juicy $512,000 in three days in Austria, $526,000 in four days in Hong
Kong, $322,000 in three days in Mexico and $216,000 in four days in Singapore
