House of FoodHouse #6 - Completed 8/3/95
![]() A very frustrating room from House of Food... Notice the customized glider, one of my favorite things to change in a house. My sixth house. One hell of a big house! Lots to explore, lots to eat... :-) It'll take a while to get through this maze of a house. Also, this was the first house on AOL to have a Quicktime movie! This was my biggest house for a while, until I made Death To Barney. This was also my first house to go over the 200 room threshold. 205 rooms, QT movie, A- from GT Here is the review from GliderTech:

OK, I'll admit it right now: I was one of the beta testers for this house. However, I still don't agree with its name. When Matt Wolfe asked me to test a house called "House of Food", I imagined a house literally made out of food. My brain conjured up multiple custom backgrounds of gingerbread and sweets, with sugar coated gumdrops for prizes. Instead, I got a house with mostly standard backgrounds. In my opinion, it shouldn't be called the House of Food. That is my only problem with this house; otherwise, it's simply a well-designed maze of rooms. Not all of the rooms are gems, but put together they provide the player with a vast labyrinth in which it is easy to get lost in. And the artwork of food is very well done. The fun factor is decidedly in the middle; Sometimes I feel urged to figure my way out of it, and other times not. Instant thrill seekers, look elsewhere; Maze lovers and mystery solvers, download this house today.

House of food is just another example of a long, complex house that doesn't have much in it. I found myself dying a lot just to try and find SOME secret! The food throughout the house is nice, and I really liked the movie! (I like any movie or house that has my name in it!) Unfortunately, the house has a low replayability factor, but it is well built with few errors. Note: For the record, House of Food has a secret in every room. Whether it is just an invisible bonus or a tranpsort into a bonus room, each room holds a secret.
