Wolfe Tower

House #5 - Completed 6/18/95

[Wolfe Tower Screen Shot]
Contrary to popular belief, there IS artwork in this house!

My fifth house. This was my first hit in the GPRO arena! Probably one of my best houses. This is the house that started the tower trend in GPRO, one that is still going strong today. A completely vertical expirence. Now get that disgusting thought out of your mind, you gutter dweller! Geez... 25 rooms, A- from GT

Here is the review from GliderTech:

Paul's Grade: A-

Could you imagine the Empire State Building on Ultra Slim-Fast? Wolfe Tower could have been made in that image. It's skyscraper (more likely a skypummeller) that's one room wide and who knows how many rooms tall. It's filled mith multiple staircases and transport ducts, and by the time you've played through about 10 rooms you don't know where you are in the tower. It's plenty hard, too. I progressed to close to the end, only to be stopped by a tricky maze. However, the visual effect is caspar milquetoast of the Glider PRO world. I didn't notice anything besides the simple room background. Perhaps some variation, and some custom art, would spice it up a bit. Despite its art lackings, Wolfe Tower is still an entertaining house.

Shawn's Grade: A-

What a fun house! Any sort of artistic anything would have been wonderful, but the replacement glider is very nice (it's from Replacement Gliders I, also by Matt Wolfe) as are the excellent puzzles. My favorite thing is if you miss something, you can ALWAYS go back, unlike so many other houses. A fun house and well worth the short download.

Note: Contrary to the review, Wolfe Tower does have art. It has a few pieces which are in the final five rooms of the house. Paul and Shawn should have used ResEdit to see if there was any art or not, but it's no big deal. :-)
