Symphony Of Fire Competition...This is one of the most spectacular events of the summer here in Toronto. Every July, we have a huge fireworks/pyrotechnics contest. Six countries are specially invited to participate
each year and are selected by a public ballot. This year was the best yet and included some beautiful colorful displays from lesser known countries like Spain and China . You'll never see anything so breathtaking as fireworks choreographed to music... It fills the night sky with radiant splendour and fills your mind with the awe
and wonder of the dreams of a child... |

Indy car racing... There's something about speed that intrigues us. Is it the sense of danger, flying almost
out of control at 200 mph; the incredible noise of a precision-tuned engine pushing the limits, screaming at 9,000 rpm; or maybe the intense rivalry between 30 instinctively-skilled drivers ? If you've ever experienced an indy car race, you know that adrenalin rush as the cars whiz by you in a blur. The thrill of being there, the smell of burnt rubber and methanol and screaming engines. I think it's one of the coolest, most enjoyable spectator sports in the world. |

Angel folklore... Since the beginning of time, civilizations have believed in the existence and presence of angels. Some believe they are here to protect us, to guide us, and to teach us about life. Others believe angels
come to us to help us dream, to nurture our imagination, to teach our hearts how to love and to prepare us for
death and the after-life. I believe each and every one of us has a Guardian Angel who watches over us. There
have been too many uncanny co-incidental events that have happened in my life that I can't explain or rationalize any other way. I believe it's the work of an angel. |

Serenity... There is no greater joy in life than experiencing the phenomenon of serenity. To feel at peace with one's self. To feel the full power, rapture and love of the earth, and to share it with those who surround you. You instinctively know it when you are in this state of mind. There is no hurry or desire to move on to the next journey or commitment. It sometimes happens while you are enjoying a memorable vacation. It may be the moment of sharing personal time with a child, an elder, a good friend or a lover. It could be seeing a dream finally coming true as it unfolds right in front of you. There are far too many questions and never enough answers. I can only guess that what we know
is porbably only a small fraction of what is really "out-there". I think that's why millions of viewers have embraced the popular TV series "X-Files" and have kept loyal to its characters for so many years. It's not so much what we already know, as what we don't know... |

A disarming smile, a heart of gold, and all the things I find extremely attractive in a woman. Sarah brings a sense of simplicity, grace and sexiness to the screen, like the girl next door. ~ That's some snow... pure & simple |

Digging out again .. This time last year it was the crippling ice-storm. This year it's snow.
Way too much snow. 20 inches, then 8 inches, then another 8 inches, then another 12 inches... (all this in just 8 days) and to make matters much worse, bone-chilling cold and strong winds with wind-chills at 40 below zero.
It just won't stop snowing. It's hard to cope with weather like this even being a seasoned
winter veteran living in Canada. It's nice to know that March isn't that far away. |
