First Kiss 
Can there be anything more erotic, more frightening, more nerve-racking and totally unpredictable, yet irresistible? It's one of those wonderful untamed moments in a developing relationship between two people. The start of a new deeper level of communication which takes you beyond friendly gestures and simple words. It's that first inescapable moment of bonding and acceptance. I believe it's one of maybe two or three true emotional expressions between people that symbolizes a willingness to be close and intimate that says "I really do like and maybe love you".
Kissing is such a very personal statement. It "says everything" about the two of you yet says nothing at all, like the stamp that sends the letter, or the power-cord that hooks up the electricity. Very much a confirmation of loving intentions yet it guarantees you nothing. Of course it's a powerful precursor to many different things (we don't need to get into that) yet it only expresses what is being felt at the moment and may lead to nothing more than maybe another kiss. The intent and effort behind a great kiss can leaving a lasting impression for days. It's a very strange ritual and we crave the moment like no other. An interesting fact is that kissing is good for you and each one burns about 5 calories (my idea of a work-out).
The ritual of kissing can have so many meanings that I dare not start to list the anatomy and interpretation of what various kinds of kisses communicate to 2 people. Suffice it to say, that kissing is very much it's own language.
A first kiss is the one that people seem to remember most often because this is the moment that opens
your eyes (and your body) for the first time, to a new person. It's a very powerful experience that can leave you breathless. You are "feeling" this person for the first time on an intimate, unselfish level that is stripped of all its coverings. You can learn more from just one kiss, than a year of phone calls or written messages especially if you're lucky enough to have a long lingering hug along with it.
I've always enjoyed kissing and prefer never to question the intent. I'm quite content just to know that someone appreciates me enough that they want to kiss me... That in itself says volumes. You could analyze the intentions behind a kiss till you are "blue in the lips" and still not have an answer that satisfies your curiosity. It's a beautiful thing to share and wouldn't you rather just enjoy it for what it is? Like that famous song from the movie Casablanca "a kiss is just a kiss".
