H.O.M.S. is a not-for-profit organization
Due to shortage of available finances, H.O.M.S.
must collect a low monthly rent from residents to enable the shelter to
simply stay open. We feel that this is a burden on the residents, but
at this time we literally have no other choice.
The goal of H.O.M.S. is to raise enough funds to purchase a
permanent facility which will be rent free. Please help us succeed in that
goal.

Why
Should I Help?
We have an epidemic in the United States which is affecting this Muslim
Ummah, specifically women and children. It is the obligation and duty of
the Muslims in the United States to take care of our sisters and young
children. If we continue to stand by and turn our sisters and
children out on the streets we will be held responsible by Allah (SWT). We
will have to answer why....why have we turned our sisters and children
away who proclaim La illah ill Allah?
We turn them into the streets at the mercy of the non-Muslims. Almost
every homeless shelter in the United States are run by Christians. These
shelters house child molesters, criminals, drug addicts and alcohol
abusers. These shelters are very dangerous places for adult men, let alone
women and children. Many of our American sisters who convert to
Islam, are are disowned by their families and have no one to turn to,
other sisters are brought to the United States after marriage, then
abandoned by their husbands and do not even speak the English language.
Many of these sisters have small children...even newborn infants. SubhanAllah,
it is your duty as a Muslim to protect your sisters in the deen and
protect their helpless children. You will be rewarded.

What
will my donation be used
for?
You may specify what you want your donation to be used for,
either the permanent facility or the daily needs of the shelter.
We are always in need of donations for the day-today
running of the shelter.
Currently, we trying to raise $200,000 to purchase a permanent
secure facility which will enable us to house more Muslim sisters and
their children.
Below is a list of everyday items that your donation may also be used for
(in addition to the permanent facility). Insha Allah, this will give
you a clearer idea of exactly where your money will be spent. There are no
luxuries, just the bare necessities to maintain a safe and healthy Islamic
environment for the sisters and their children.
Daily Needs of the Shelter:
-
Rent
-
Food
-
Electricity
-
Water
-
Security
-
Dorm Mother - a Muslimah (ex-police
officer) who monitors & lives on the premises
-
Diapers
-
Formula
-
Children's/baby clothing
-
Islamic women's clothing
-
medicine, soap and other needed toiletries,
and the list goes on...
Your donation literally makes a
difference to sisters and their children who are alone and have no where
to turn, please do not turn your back. It is our obligation as an Ummah to
support and maintain these sisters and their children. Christian shelters
are prevalent in every city across America, but the help of these
Christian mission shelters comes with a price of safety, possible
molestation and even losing their religion (may Allah forbid it). Let us
not abandon our sisters, and turn them out into the hands of the kuffar.....this
is your opportunity to protect your fellow sister in Islam, and if we
don't support them, someone else will. Are you ready to be questioned
about this on the day of Judgment?
